I love that Lucas was somehow the bad guy today because Drew and Willow are “in wuv”. Drew is such a slimeball. He genuinely doesn’t care one bit how anyone feels about banging his nephew’s wife.

Laura seems strangely calm about Lulu going off on her own.

BLQ wearing that hoodie in the bedroom while her hubby just had on a t shirt. My god, AS is DETERMINED to play a character that we’re supposed to believe enjoys sex, is as sexless looking as possible.

Intrigued by whatever Emma is hiding.

Well Lulu still sucks for abandoning one of her kids for the other and making him lie for her. I guess good for Lulu never having to experience pregnancy weight gain or giving birth.

Sonny with chest pains YES!

There's modesty and there is ridiculousness.  Does anyone where a sweatshirt to bed?  Unless it's like freezing cold and you have no heat?  That just seems uncomfortable and hot.  At least put a t-shirt, a tank top or a sleep shirt on to make it believable.

I am mildly intrigued by what Emma is hiding, but I have the belief it will be a minor scandal for a few months and Emma will just turn into a regular heroine like every other legacy child on the show.  I am cynical I suppose.

I don't disagree with your Lulu point.  Just saying all Lulu's kids have wacky backstories that have nothing to do with her ever giving birth to them

I think Charlotte was an Altman/Passanante special.  Claudette (Bree Williamson) carried the baby and Nathan and Griffin?/Chase? (they are the same person to me) were teased as the father.  Claudette also slept with Valentin too, but that's not even the point of anything because she was just the surrogate to Lulu/Valentin's embryo situation.  Frank really tried to make Bree Williamson happen on GH lol.

Charlotte was Passanante/Altman. All to cement their and Frank's precious Valentin. But Ron also had a love for surrogate magic babies. IMO RC had likely been setting up the captive Robin carrying Lulu and Stavros' freeze-dried kid or something before he was fired based on the multiple embarrassing Stavros-related capers he did in 2013 and (I think) 2014 - he had Stavros obsessed with Lulu as his new 'Ice Princess' bride he wanted to impregnate, and they faced off with him the second time at the Crichton-Clark clinic where IIRC Drew/NuJason was also being held with Robin (pre-Billy Miller casting). Anyway, thank God that didn't come to fruition.

It's amazing to me how quickly she came and went, for someone who Frank adored. They must've gotten feedback on Claudette that rivaled anthrax because she vanished. I think she's supposed to be dead offscreen today? That character is even stranger to me than Jessica Tuck's art dealer/crime boss/whatever, who unlike Claudette/Bree did keep coming back. And Jessica Tuck could've actually played an interesting villain on this show.

I think it's partly intentional, to show how impulsive and rash she still is. I don't love her journeying off to find the mutant hellspawn but I understand it.

I don't believe Bree or Claudette ever belonged on the show, but that had to be one of the strangest character introductions I have ever seen.   The paternity saga was not only confusing, but involved Nathan, Griffin, and Valentin.  None of these males were captivating or long running enough to make me care.  Then all of a sudden the show forgets everything they told us for the last months about Claudette and just makes Charlotte Lulu/Valentin's baby.  Claudette wasn't a defined character to begin with and they just kept throwing more backstory on top of her.  I have doubts any actress could make that character work and certainly not Bree with her moderate level of talent and popularity.

I am not sure I have ever heard someone say they liked Claudette and if they did it was because they like Bree Williamson-not the character.

It's insanity to me that Valentin is still on the show all these years later.  I know JPS rarely appears and he usually crying about something, but none of his stories have been good.  I still don't know what/who/why Pikeman exists and that went on for over a year.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get. While I agree with those on here that he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.

    • Ah! Good to hear. Isn't it especially odd to think that house fictionally exists not far from the Karrs?  Or, that it was designed non-fictionally by the same person who designed April's place?
    • Good to know I'm not the only one who noticed that. Strange and awkward, and I don't know what they're doing with those fades.   -- Finally, had to laugh at how many Emmys this board passed out today.
