Oh, it's totally one-sided.  But, think about it, the first person that Kristen went to went she was released from jail was Marlena.  And she thought that she could gloat about John missing his anniversary with Doc, only to be met with Marlena's kids showing up to support and care for her.  Meanwhile, her whole family dislikes her and the board thinks she can't run the company.

Damn. Days was late today.

Too bad today was a little… ehh though.

I’m glad to finally see JJ back in Salem. He’s a legacy character and he should be frontburner and leading the show right now. There’s still so much that they can do with his character. His scenes with Julie were really nice too. And I loved that the two of them spoke about Doug and the things he did for JJ.

The Body&Soul stuff… Skip.

And again, poor Javi. He deserves so much better than Leo. I do like his relationship with Gabi though. She really does need that friend or whatever that she can talk to and confide in.

And that’s a big Hell No on Joy and Leo being so friendly. To me, that just seems like another f*ck you to Nancy.

Javi looks cuter today.  This hairstyle is much more flattering than how he was wearing it a few days ago.  Anyhow, he still is annoying me.  He seems ungrateful.  Gabi was nice enough to give him a job and he's immediately complaining.  Does he really have any qualifications to do anything else currently?

And I was confused.  Did Gabi imply she's poor now?  Leo started texting Javi so I missed what she was saying.

Yeah, the Joy/Leo stuff is a no.  I wish they cast Joy during the awful Craig/Leo story.  I don't feel any connection with her as a Wesley because Craig and Chloe aren't interacting with her and Nancy is written like a joke.

I am all for legacy children returning and this will be unpopular, but I feel like JJ, Tripp, and Joey are all the same character and are pretty dull.  I like the JJ/Julie scenes though.

No comment on the Body & Soul stuff.

I see what you mean; they all should still have some of an edge, like they did when they debuted. Ron had the chance with Tripp but he didn’t take it.

Hopefully, if we get a JJ/Gabi/EJ triangle  or if they

JJ will get some of his edge back

I'm confused by EJ.

After the explosion, he held Gabi's hand in the hospital as if he really cared for her.  And now he is cussing her out in the town square.  DAYS is not very subtle, so if he was conflicted, EJ would said that aloud (either to Chad, or to some random painting in his living room).

It feels like this story turned on a dime so that Gabi could be paired with JJ.

I wouldn't mind a Cat and JJ pairing.  But, has the Horton House gained an extra floor since the remodel after the fire?  How are Doug, Julie, Chad, Thomas, Charlotte, JJ, and Cat going to live there?

Also, Joy forgave Leo awfully quickly.  She's got nothing to be guilty about that would lead her to bond with Leo (talk about sexist writing, Johnny was the married one, not her).  Also, why isn't she living in the Wesley's house?  Nancy was rich, and I doubt she would want her daughter to live above the pub.

I don't think Nancy permanently resides in Salem.  I think she lives in New York so they don't have a home in town. Nancy mentioned she wanted Joy to live inside her means so that's why she told her about the Pub.  If multiple crimes didn't occur at the Pub regularly I would even argue it's safer for a young woman living alone.

It's actually bizarre Nancy wants Joy anywhere near Kate after everything she did to Chloe, but whatever.

Do we think when they were kids, Tommy, Addie, Marie, Bill, and Mickey all had their own rooms?  That could explain the size of the Horton House.  It has a primary bedroom (for Doug and Julie), and five secondary bedrooms (Chad, Thomas, JJ, Charlotte, could each have their own space, with a guest room for Jennifer and Jack).   It rivals the size of the Dimera Mansion!

Although, I assume Cat will move in with the Greene's while Mark is in jail (Cat could've at least bargained to get Chad not to testify).  And lord only knows how Mark will be tried in Salem for a crime that occurred in Paris.

Lastly, still amused that they all just left JJ in Paris after he saved Chad's life.  Like, 'au revoir JJ, hope you get back to Salem soon, but we're taking the jet…'

JJ vs. EJ? That escalated quickly lol

I wouldn’t mind a JJ/Gabi/EJ triangle, even though I could also see some fans thinking that it was really just a poor substitute for Eric/Nicole/EJ or Stefan/Gabi/EJ. But I think it’s a good way to weave JJ back onto the canvas and also give him some kind of edge, after everything that EJ may or may not do to him in the future. I didn’t mind them almost throwing down in the square today. Maybe at some point, we’ll get a good brawl from the two of them. But yeah, DF really needs to stop with those angry roars.

I did like the way EJ was written today though. He seemed tougher and more confident, and like he could be a successful villain to JJ. I think that’s the way he should be written, and it would be a lot better than the way he was written in that rivalry/bitchy pissing contest that he had with Stefan.

JJ and Gabi’s conversation was ok, even though it missed one important beat. At first, I was wondering why JJ was talking about how upset he was over what Gabi did to Julie and not about what she did to Abigail, but then I remembered who the head writer was.

I’m actually looking forward to the potential conflict that was started today between Rafe and Jada. I could totally see Rafe having a problem with being demoted to detective and Jada staying on as commissioner, especially with the way that GG plays it. I know it’s not intentionally written like that, but with the way he, and Elia Cantu play their characters, it really is a wonder how Rafe and Jada don’t fight constantly lol

Chanel/Johnny/Joy/Alex/Stephanie is finally get interesting to me as well. That’s how it needed to be from the very beginning. Not rushed and lazy and full of stupid jokes. And of course Ron would write a Playgirl story arc for Alex, after the real life photoshoot

    • I have to check out his Bela Garody on Search for tomorrow. He was one of the main reasons EON worked for me when I was watching. Truly unforgettable presence. Handsome in the most perverse and sinister way. They don't make faces like that anymore.
    • My favorite moment in SOAPDISH is the HW taking the star to the mall in NJ to improve "morale"!!
    • Oh no! The shoulder pads! I will mourn them when they're gone. Please tell me the head pieces and hats remained!?
    • Shout! TV has now added season 26. Not sure what the reasoning for that was, but maybe it was the one that was ready to go...
    • It's AWFULLY hard to tell.  But out of the (approximately) 16 weeks so far in 2025, Bryton has only had about 12 episodes.  That's significantly less than 1 per week.  Once the actor drops down to less than 1 per week for an extended period of time (such as a 39-week cycle), I start thinking there's no contract in place for him or her.  Surely these folks aren't tying themselves down to a show for a guarantee of 1 or 2 episodes a month.   If I counted right, Bryton has had 21 episodes in the past 24 weeks.  They're either (a) about to kick into high-gear & work his ass off to meet his minimum guaranteed appearances, or else (b) he ain't got a contract that guarantees him squat.
    • These contract guarantees of 1 ep per month are ridiculous. How can you even have a story if your character apprars 4-5 times in a month? It's sad.
    • It's hard to tell with some actors appearing on average 4 times in a month whether they're recurring or just on a low guarantee contract. Someone recurring  like Beth Maitland can be used a lot for several months then disappear. So the monthly tallies aren't enough to go by.
    • Of the so-called "contract" cast members, I'd venture to say these are recurring: Bryton James, Camryn Grimes, and (possibly) Michael Graziadei.  I've suspected since 2018 that Kate Linder and Christian LeBlanc are recurring.  And I believe we all know Miss Ordway is, because she said so. lol.
    • Dante blaming Gio instead of his dweeb son and the other dweeb was just ridiculous. Gio's paternity story is going in circles with no reveal. I've already started fast forwarding Drew and his stupid ho Willow's story. Kristina's story is beyond dumb with no great payoff.
    • Sarah (with the English accent) isn't just some random character.  Sarah was once the housekeeper for Eliot Dorn and Margo Huntington.  One of the following 2 scenarios happened a few months ago: (1):  One night, while Margo wasn't at home, and while Oscar the Doorman wasn't at his post, a burglar sneaked into the private elevator, rode up to the penthouse, stole several thousand dollars worth of Margo's valuable diamonds and pearls, and tied-up Eliot Dorn and Sarah the Housekeeper, ensuring that Eliot and Sarah couldn't pursue the burglar back down to the lobby or phone the police to apprehend the burglar. OR --  (2): Eliot Dorn was SLEEPING with Sarah the Housekeeper, and the two of them conspired to steal Margo's jewelry and went on a lavish spending spree and then tied THEMSELVES up to make it look as though a burglary had occurred in the penthouse. Margo Dorn currently believes Scenario #1 occurred, and she's rather annoyed that the "incompetent police" haven't located her stolen jewels yet.  Eliot and Sarah know that Scenario #2 actually occurred.  When Sarah stopped by the Unicorn and saw Eliot kissing Raven Swift, Sarah snidely said, "Oh! This must be Mrs. Dorn!  Nice to meet you, Mrs. Dorn!" Sarah knew good & damn well Raven isn't "Mrs. Dorn" because Sarah worked for Margo Dorn on a daily basis for many months.  That was Sarah's not-so-subtle way of announcing, "I'll be paying a visit to District Attorney Logan Swift and letting him know that his wife is sleeping with you, and I'll be paying a visit to WMON to let Margo Huntington know that you're sleeping with Mrs. Swift!"  lol.
