Very much so. So I'm happy that Lulu's return outside of block filming has been so good so far. I'm shocked at how invested I am given how I feel about the writing most of the time.

Serendipity.

I had tears. Now I want the rest.

They gave Maxie back her personality, and that has helped KS tremendously. I know there has been pushback on characters that are served better by allowing some humor in. But it was needed with her, and I have enjoyed her with Spinelli and their kids, because he has been allowed to calm down a little bit and mature. It just works for me after years of thinking they could all go.

Again, a silk robe and a silk pajama top that still covers her up but isn’t up to her neck and some messy hair would at least seem like these two people are a couple and might fool around.

AH has been really great as Lulu. I know Emme has her fans, but this suits Lulu more. I don’t think I will even miss JMB anymore, that’s how much I think she fits so well.

Also! I watch on Hulu and I just noticed they changed out Carly for Anna as the shot we see before the episodes start. It was Roger Howarth forever, then Carly (looking smug), and now Anna. I am thrilled to see anyone but Sonny, Carly, or Roger Howarth as the image.

I think with this show, humor should be used at the right time and with the right people and definitely...depending on the characters...need not be slapsticky. That said, Maxie is a character who benefits from having humor which was always a part of her personality with KS in the role. So glad it's back with her because she's given some of the funniest and snarkiest moments over the last few months. Doesn't seem out of place at all.  And I like having that character type around.

I’m with @carolineg and @titan1978Kirsten Storms as Maxie has been a treasure all year for me. I’m glad Korte and Mulcahey restored Maxie’s charm and sass and put her back with Spinelli, their little family unit is one of the shows brightest spots. I honestly wish they used the family more for their own story cause I wouldn’t mind a family caper adventure.

It’s also been great to see KS self confidence redevelop on screen, she’s been looking particularly

these last couple of weeks and you can see the effort she’s made to take better care of her health.

Now like @Vee I loved Amanda Setton on OLTL, when they paired her with Jerry Ver Don as Clint she was sensational. I’ve only seen her as Brook Lynn this last year but I had no trouble understanding why the ratings started collapsing when her and Chase were the front-burner couple, they’re boring as hell.

I’m cool with religious values preventing both actors from doing certain things but my problem is if the show is going to accommodate then they need to do a better job. That after glow scene should have been reworked if her modesty is too strong to take a robe off. It was legit awkward to watch and AS often looks uncomfortable onscreen. I completely understand why people want another actress in the role.

I would keep the family unit intact for awhile and play story with them, sure, but I wouldn't keep Kirsten on the shelf with Bradford forever. She's got too much life again these days and while I like them together again I am not ride or die for it. Eventually down the road I'd recast Michael and bring him on as a sort of deadpan straight man/younger guy to Maxie's unlikely slightly older woman comedienne, something I've thought about doing with them for many years. A fish out of water thing. Sue me!

    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.

    • Haha that scarf thing did go on a bit too long, very odd. And what a young Rick!  I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I just never got the physical appeal of Grant Aleksander, but he's definitely a great actor. Who is the older lady around the 8:30 mark, and also ends the episode, alone and in pain? She seems like a really interesting character. I love the smoky voice and sultry, snaky vibe she seems to have.
    • I can't remember exactly but I think she lives in or is part of the cottage story with Carrie. Carrie poisons her in this episode.  I forgot Teresa was on the show. (I see that AI is insisting she wasn't - well they're wrong) Poor Maeve. I can how even she had her limits.
