You would think Xander would actually try to get Brady on his side to convince Kristen.

I assume that is the next beat in the story.

Causing a rapprochement for Xander and Brady, and pushing Brady away from Kristin.  Xander will learn his lesson, not to attack people with bats.  Sarah will walk.  And, avoiding the merger will be an impetus for Phillip's return.

That being said, Salem only needs one bad guy corporation.  Especially given that we still don't know what Dimera Industries does.  Brady could form a good guy company, and that would be a more logical rivalry.

Yeah, I would assume that's the next beat of the story too.  It's a lot easier than Xander giving up his entire company.

I don't like any of Days business stories.  They aren't interesting, make no sense, and I generally don't care who's running Titan or Dimera.  At ALL.

With Kristen's past, who in their right mind would let her run a multi-million dollar company in the first place?  Her last job was a social worker in 1993.  Not to mention the fact she's committed 1000 crimes since then lol.

It's so absurd. The boards who make these constant demands of whoever's CEO at the moment aren't troubled by the fact that the CEO changes every three months? Kristen moaning that the board is losing faith in her is like... girl, you haven't even been CEO for an entire quarter, so whatever is showing up realistically could not reflect almost any decision you've made as CEO.

But don't forget! She got pardoned a few years ago, which means no one can even remember or mention any of her prior crimes.

Putting aside her crimes.  What are her qualifications?  She hasn't worked a real job in 30 years!  What's on her resume?  Ability to plot elaborate plans to harm others?  Master at avoiding any real punishment?  Surviving death multiple times?

At least EJ is slightly plausible as a CEO.  And, no, he's not plausible at all as the town's DA lol.

I am not even going to bring Stefan into this because I don't know what he does besides sometimes own a restaurant.

Well, there was that stint in the gulag when she exited in the '90s. What happened to that?!

But once again, Leo was unnecessary.

I have to disagree. For many of us, Leo is the necessary comedy relief. Especially to this horrible B&S storyline.

I could watch him every day with no complaints.

Ron made her look dumb in the Craig/Nancy/Leo story and that was horrible.  I just still don't have a clear take on who Nancy is at her core to this day.

It’s just seems so clear that he doesn’t like the character and sees her as nothing but a big joke.

And it just feels wrong and messed up to write anyone like that

But a JJ/Joy/Johnny/Chanel/Alex/Stephanie mess could be nice as well.

Well, JJ and Stephanie are first cousins, as Steve and Jack are brothers, soooo...

Today was a good one. There was a lot more emotional depth in the writing, and I enjoyed that. I think it helps fans get a better understanding of why these characters are doing the things that they do. And I also think it’s just what we needed, after so much Body&Soul nonsense this week.

I see Rafe’s house got a little renovation… and got the same paint job as Stephanie’s place 😂😂

I actually liked the Rafe/Gabi bonding scenes today. Galen and Cherie Jimenez haven’t had that many scenes together like that yet and I was impressed by this one. They seemed to have good brother-sister chemistry.

I also enjoyed the Sarah/Xander scenes even though I’m really not liking all this stuff with Kristen. I think it’s finally time to send her packing. She’s played out.

I’m not really sure how Fiona is a free woman though lol

And I like the way the ending was set up for next week, with Gabi. And with the Kiriakises too.

I know. That’s why I didn’t put their names next to each other 😂

Oh, you mean the time Kristen accidently sold herself into sex slavery?  Lol, it was such a disgusting way for the character to go out.  Everyone thought Kristen was dead (it was a 3rd Banks sibling), so Kristen decided to pretend to be Susan and tried to sell Susan into a harem.  It backfired and somehow Kristen ended up being sold off instead.

So offscreen Stefano eventually go Kristen out of said harem and she was just living in Europe off screen until she popped back up in Salem.  The harem/sex slave stuff was touched on and Kristen was mad at several people about it even though it was her own stupid fault.  Anyway, it was implied Kristen was abused both physically/sexually and was briefly a sex slave, but that whole plot point was glossed over to one or two conversations which is probably for the best.

Probably had to be glossed over considering she soon ended up drugging and raping Eric .

I don't think the show was that self aware lol.  There was just minimal effort in explaining what Kristen had done since she left.

My contrarian and optimist nature forces me to reply.

While Kristen doesn't have much management skill or experience, she is arguably the closest to Rolf who is the key to Dimera's future profitability.  So, her selection by the board is not completely illogical.

Considering Kristen just found out last week that clinical trials and FDA approval take a long time, I just don't think knowing Rolf is that helpful for Dimera.  Being on the board?  Sure.  Being in charge? No.

Meanwhile, I never got an answer as to why the Dimera board meets in Chicago and not in Salem at the company headquarters!
