Luckily, today we had real writers, once again, correcting Jamey’s crap.

I’m glad that Stephanie realized that she made a big mistake with Alex. It was (sort of) an out of character move for her, it rushed the storyline between her and Alex and totally diminished everything that she’s been saying about Bobby-Everett these past few months. I’m not against Alex and Stephanie reuniting but come on. Do it right. Hopefully, she pushes his ass away tomorrow.

Paul Telfer and Serena Scott Thomas were the MVPs today. Their scenes today were what this storyline should have been; an emphasis on the relationship between Xander and Fiona, not Sarah’s paralysis or a fling with Brady. I wish it had gone on longer, both today and in this storyline overall.

Johnny and Chanel deserve so much better than what they’re getting, but I actually don’t mind seeing angry Johnny though lol btw his shirt was hideous.

As for Leo…Skip #PoorDee

I am so glad that, hypocrisy aside (um Xander, I love ya, but you did the same thing to Will), Xander admitted that he is also a felon, liar and reprobate. As long as he keeps acknowledging his awful past and his current failings, I'm good with him. He and Fiona were amazing today. I hope this is not the last we see of her. And we got a Titus mention! I like that he is still "Dad" to Xander, unlike Alex who immediately relegated poor Justin to his first name.

Well, the Xander/Fiona scenes were very good.  That side of the storyline was good.

So, I am supposed to believe Johnny just left after catching Alex/Stephanie and finished taping scenes?  He then just decides to not ask any questions and thinks Chanel threw out her back having sex with Alex lol.  This is the dumbest misunderstanding on the planet.  Johnny's last scene was pretty good with all the anger.  I am convinced he's an idiot though.

So Abe decided Leo was the best option to convince Marlena to play Charlamagne?  Not Abe, Kate, or her own GRANDSON.  Just her random patient?  Deidre does seem to enjoy playing off GR so I guess there is that? 😕  We also got a Sam mention!

Did they conveniently forget that wheelchairs have brakes?

I think this storyline is ruining Abe worse than anyone.

Well, it did seem like Sarah forgot to push and hit as well 😂

Today was pretty great stuff with Xander and Fiona. I agree we should’ve been getting more scenes of their relationship instead of everything else. Really we didn’t even need to have Sarah’s accident so quickly after Fiona arrived but oh well.

Johnny is a complete moron. He just decided his wife must be cheating on him because he’s insecure 🙄.

Xander and Fiona was the best part of today's show plus Eric and Brady.

Everything else was fast forward material for me.

I was disappointed mostly because of the continued dependence on short scenes.  Fiona needed one great extended monologue to tell us about the pain of losing Xander which led to her self-destructive behavior.

These mini-scenes with 2–3 lines of dialogue annoy me.  As I've noted before, streaming is a different genre.  We don't need short scenes to avoid boredom, and nobody is going to change the channel in the middle of an episode.  So, I wish they'd play with the structure a bit and use longer scenes when they are call for in these emotional resolutions.

That being said, I applaud the mix of stories today.  Leo or Johnny in isolation would've been a huge disappointment over yesterday's cliffhanger.  So, I appreciate that they followed up immediately.  I also hope Brady's finally going to get out of the interrogation room and take a shower.  Given that he's unemployed, I think he'd make a more believable B&S character than Alex.

So, the crap wasn’t corrected and another storyline got rushed. This is why people don’t like Alex lol. Seriously, what was the point of all that ‘I’m becoming a better person’ crap if they were gonna have him regress so easily? They do the same thing with Leo.

And in some ways, this is all ruining Stephanie too.

I don’t mind Chanel planning a party for Johnny, but asking Alex for help planning it is such a weak, forced and contrived way to make this storyline happen. Friggin guy is related to half the town, why does she need Alex’s help? Johnny was wearing a much nicer shirt today though

And again, it’s too bad about Mark because he was a good guy. I really liked his scenes with Felicity today. But this storyline is ruining him. And ruining NotAbigail. This was all so unnecessary.

Good.

I’d like to see how the new writers handle them.

You think that's weak?  How about her excuse that they need to have the party on set? (at least they got the date correct, according to the wiki Johnny was born October 23rd).

Also, I know logic doesn't matter but, if they're just trying to jog her memory, why not re-create the wedding without getting married? For example, why not wear the same gown, or watch the wedding video?  The idea of memories being flooded due to an experience doesn't really make sense if the experiences are not the same.

Finally, do we think there's a Guinness World Record for number of episodes that Alex can go without wearing a shirt?  Not that I'm complaining.  I'm simply thinking of other forms of PR for the show (a purely benevolent cause).

I don’t think I’d mind the lack of logic, if it was all just written better.
