Not gonna lie, this goodbye hurts. I think because I didn’t see it coming. That and when you spend almost two years with this group, you start to feel like part of the fabric.

I’m so grateful to Frank for asking me back. I am grateful to everyone I got to tell stories with, both in front and behind the camera. This cast and crew work so hard and have taught me so much. Jobs come and go, but it’s the people you miss. I’m definitely going to miss this bunch.

I’ve mentioned that as a brown girl, it’s so hard to see ourselves in media, period. To have writers introduce Latiné story elements because of my character? Even adding a Latiné last name to my character’s name? Getting onscreen family and backstory as a non-contract actor? Being a part of the opening titles?! Turning a 10 episode part into almost two years??? Babyyy, she done did that! Sometimes we have to be the change we don’t see.✨

GH FANS!!! 🥹 My heart is so full. Especially fans that embraced Blaze’s journey as a gay woman and formed community around each other as a result: Y’all got me through some moments. I poured myself into this story because I knew it was going to matter. I just didn’t know how much. You have humbled me, reminding me the need for feeling seen onscreen is absolutely universal to all marginalized communities. I learned that through Allie. Through you. Thank you for sharing your stories, your words of encouragement, and for the generous gifts! Know I carry all of that with me always. I hope I did right by you. That’s all I wanted to do.

Ultimately, my joy in this work is to help people feel seen. And for that reason alone, this chapter of Blaze was an absolute gift. It feels so sudden, but I have to trust in timing. Heading out of Port Charles with nothing but gratitude. Thank you @generalhospitalabc ❣️

 

I won't miss Blaze because I don't think JGL is a match for Mansi talent-wise, but I do think it's foul they're writing out the gay character instead of her bigot mom because Frank is playing soap fantasy camp again. It's just not acceptable to treat these kind of issues this way in the 2020s, even on daytime.

It does make me wonder if FV is doing the same dance as in 2010 - blaming his record lows on the LGBT storyline, which tbh is far less bold in its storytelling or all-consuming on the canvas than the Kish saga on OLTL (which I fully supported in its boldness! I even liked the Dorian gay marriage scam and the mass gay weddings).

I won't miss Blaze and I am eager for a better love interest for Kristina, but I won't be shocked if this leads to her being paired with a man again or vanishing onto the backburner now that FV has other toys to play with. And most of all, Natalia must die.

Yeah, this is messed up. I don’t get it.

And apologies for the way for this may sound, but considering how lifeless (and tone deaf) Frank was at the Emmys, on Twitter, etc., is it possible he doesn’t even realize or even can connect in his mind, how bad this looks?

I suspect the next love interest will be a male. I fully do, because she'll be OBSESSED with becoming pregnant for herself. That's what I see happening.

Not unexpected. See Lucas, Brad, Felix, Twice a month Terry who is now twice every six months Terry... #firefrank as usual

That's exactly what's going on here.  We spent months and months on Kristina, Molly, TJ and that damn baby, and that's how it ends?  The baby's dead*, Kraze are kaput and Blaze is out the door (but her homophobic mom isn't)?  Frank can kiss my black ass!

(*I'm not exactly sorry that the baby is dead, but you don't spend all this time on a pregnancy that ends in miscarriage. That's a terrible payoff.)

This is why I was against her being bisexual.  Daytime is not fully committed to telling stories about characters who are bisexual.  In the end, they just cop out and put that character in a heterosexual relationship anyway.

All I can say is, bring on THE GATES.

I just keep coming back to what a mess. The show is a public relations mess for this whole season, and FV and ABC have made zero attempts to engage the audience.

I am starting to think Frank wanted kids and never gave himself the life needed to get them, hence all the young children constantly given time on GH. And that Frank’s idea of dealing with a mistake or something he doesn’t like is to just ignore it until it goes away. One of these days, another situation will hit like what happened with Genie and the outcry will once again last long enough that a change happens.

As little as I care for Blaze this is just shitty nonetheless.

GH whats going on? You toss Blaze out. Aidan hasnt been on since May. Where's Terry? I beginning to think there is some internilized homophobia since your EP was also EP at OLTL when he let the coupling of Kyle Lewis & Oliver Fish go. Do better its 2024. LGBTQIA people exist.

Damn. Because I need yet ANOTHER thing to be mad at that show about.

 

And from reading interviews, I know she loved the show and the role. And she strived to improve. Which she did over those two years. So I will actually miss her.

 

That said...it does make me wonder if the New/Old Writers are going to pivot back to the Joss/Kristina rivalry and make that Joss/Dex/Kristina triangle they teased. Since...they like to go back to things pre-PM.

Now that you say it...Hmmm.

 

Well Terry got mentioned last week so there's that. 

Splitting twice a year (now) Terry's job with Portia  (because he can't write anything proactive for her on the canvas. She's either the angry black woman or doctor/chief of staff. Don't get me wrong I'd rather see both have actual stories while Sonny and Jason get some time on the old back burner, but frank wn't do that....) was the end for Terry. Yuri gets more mentions than she does...

I kinda liked Blaze and she did improve. Waiting a month after Pride month and dumping her but keeping Natalia is just awful. If he wanted LaRue, this was not the character for her to play. I agree with @Vee, Natalia needs to be killed off, not just sent away. This is the way Piss-poor EP #firefrank casts these actors with name recognition every time...

Very. Since Natalia's whole reason for coming to town was her daughter...it's very much 'Ho, why is you here?'

Well, as you can all imagine I am thoroughly disgusted. I do want to say what a class act Jackie is!! Definitely Screw you, Frank! And the horse you rode in on. Next time do NOT create something beautiful & sacred to some only to destroy it later on some presumed whim. Perhaps ask yourself if you have the stones for this work?! Seems like a tendency to cut & run. To any fans of Kraze, it's been a pleasure.

Frank did the same as EP at OLTL in 2010. He cut a very popular pairing in Kyle (Brett Claywell) & Oliver (Scott Evans). It stung for Brett so much that he left acting.
