I don't think there's anything humiliating or embarrassing about Sasha being the Q chef.  She seems to enjoy it.   I do agree it's a strange choice for the character though.  Working at the Metro Court seems like a good idea, but her leaving the canvas is also a good idea lol.

I would be fine with either at this point. I don't really see a point for Sasha to remain on this show at this rate. She can literally walk out the door tomorrow and I won't even blink an eye. The only reason why she's even working for the Qs is so that she could be in a boring romance with the equally useless Cody, (who honestly should not even be Mac's spawn in the first place, but I digress).

Go, Titan, go!!!!

Read them a$$$!!!!

And same. There would be more grace without the tea about how a certain person has been back AS CO-HW since May. But since we know THAT particular tea...roast that trick. lol.

I am sad to hear that we are back to not getting all the points of views for a storyline. And it sounds like the Heather storyline is now the A plot. Which makes me dread starting last week's episodes. I already said that this Heather storyline won't work without the strong backbone PM would have given it (with all points of view), but now...FORGETABOUTIT!!

Good to hear he is still in scenes with Anna.

Well he definitely has had no scandals this year. Outside of being on the stage with Madonna.

Give me the experiment because it sounds like I'm going to roll my eyes versus the nuance, maturity, and sophistication in the dialogue that drew me in.

I'll try my best because I've very much looking forward to the returns, but I feel like I might be hatewatching more than watching. But...if I can make it through slow weeks on Y&R, I'm sure I will be fine here. We'll see.

My rose today was Ali/Blaze for finally getting her butt in the chair beside Kristina's ICU bed.

My thorn goes to Willow for doing a 180, an about face, to give up her new career & go back to Nursing. This is given especially because I think she is doing it because she is afraid of temptation.

Sasha as the Q family chef never bothered me. The writing was & has continued to be solid.

However, discussing this reminds me I still so badly think this cast needs to be trimmed!

Mention was made today of "the experiment" I might be more inclined to call it "The Miracle".

I have recently been told by someone who will not tell me what it is that he knows that there are 4 different versions of what happened behind the scenes & my version is one of them. I've got some things right, but not all. I find this maddening.

Yup and he was recently on the talk shows promoting the show. He was on The View recently which is on ABC.

They should've said Ricky Martin though instead of his character's name. I wasn't sure it was him they were referring to since I had forgotten Ricky's character's name on the show.

I don't mind when they occasionally mention Miguel as still being a star. Plenty of soaps have fictional characters go on to be major celebrities - Danny on Y&R, Erica Kane, Brenda, etc. Ricky happened to play Miguel who was a significant contract player BITD so I can see why they might see it as needing to do one or the other (unlike the Rick Springfield/Noah situation, where IIRC Springfield specifically stipulated that he would not perform musically as Noah and insisted on appearing as both in '13 or as Eli Love). I do have a problem with when it used to come up constantly back in the days of Sabrina or when it's just there to be cute.

Me too?  I swear I actually like Ricky Martin.  I think he's a very talented guy.  His GH work leaves a lot to be desired.  I don't care about the mention of his character, but I'd rather the show just say Ricky Martin instead of a character most of the audience barely knows and generally disliked if they do.

Lol. Ikr. I can understand being over the wink, winks myself. But I mean, the last time Miguel was mentioned, wasn't it to reveal he went on to be a successful singer so it's kinda true.

But then again, it was probably said randomly and done in a way to be an eyeroll.

And hopefully no flashback scenes.

    • Whoa. She should have fought like hell to get that. Was it the greatest show ever? No, but it had a fantastic cast and was practically guaranteed to last multiple seasons because of its star power. Could have certainly led to bigger and better things. If it had flopped she could have always gone back to soaps. Judith Light broke through on a sitcom where she was basically second banana to Tony Danza. That grew into a very busy and distinguished career. The woman is still regularly booked to this day.
    • I could understand her being frustrated by the fact that she'd been in the business 10+ years at that point, and probably couldn't even get in the door. But then again, she'd already gone out for pilot season once (that we know of) and she and  her agent knew a 35-ish woman had a very difficult time in Hollywood. I know she did a few guest spots, but other than Designing Women, nothing I saw--not even a Murder She Wrote, and that show had tons of ex-soapers on it. I mean, God bless Marilu Henner, but even having been on Taxi, she couldn't get arrested for years either.
    • I didn't rewatch that period, so I'm not really sure how much Bill is on. I recall something about him living at the boardinghouse. I think Van made Matt his guardian, and why she didn't name Josh would be a mystery to me, other than the HW decided they needed to keep Bill in Matt's sphere. Nola is also his aunt, although they don't know each other well, and Van wouldn't have trusted her anyway. There's Dinah---but she's unreliable. Billy gets out of jail around NYE.

    • That's on Kimmer. As someone posted above...she was offered roles in pilots but she would be part of an ensemble or supporting. She didn't want that so she came back to GL. I don't know what she thought would happen..someone offering her "Here's Kimmer!" or The "Zimmer Comedy Powerhouse Hour" variety show..but her housefrau fans did not have the same pull in HW as they did on the soaps. Forbes and Watros knew that you had to take small parts to get noticed ands start a career in primetime. I know she was in consideration for the wife in Evening Shade, but when you go up against Marilou Henner, the soap diva looses. I could see her frustrated in a role like that, where she has to be the understanding wife with a bit of sass, but she could have made it work, if it wasnt for her huge ego.  I think it would have been an issue haveing all the powerhouse comedy actors surrounding...(lets face it..Alice Ghostly woudl have wiped the floor with her...) but it would have been a good launching padd.
    • Oh good, so I don't have to wait too long haha. I'm glad she cares about seeing Bill graduate. I'm guessing I'm in for a bumpy ride between Bill and Matt, if he's going to be his caretaker? Who else could it be, maybe Josh?

    • Maeve makes a few sporadic appearances, but returns full-time the next spring/summer. She's back in time to see Bill and Michelle graduate, although she skulks around town and wasn't going to tell anyone she was alive. She comes back wearing this HUGE hat---which was a throwback to the old Vanesaa. lol.
    • Aww, yeah it's very heartbreaking and I mostly enjoyed the Nola/Vanessa scenes because they finally let their walls down and came together in a beautiful moment. So Nola was at the hospital already and bumped into Vanessa, who had MRI papers that fell out of her hand and Nola went down to pick them up and asked her what was going on. Later, Vanessa confided in her about her disease. Then, Nola told Zachary on the beach (he prodded her and already alluded to knowing something was going on with Van), and then Vanessa found out she told him and got a little upset. Now, however, Nola is strangely absent while everyone is mourning her death. I'm curious if Nola will actually tell people about her MRI results. I would assume so. Only Nola, Rick, Roger and Zachary know anything, although there is the MRI results letter from the mail that everyone has missed seeing at home. I'm sure it'll all come out at some point. But... I just saw the next episode and the opening already cut Vanessa out and added Dahlia and Zachary. I guess Maeve is gone for a long time

That will break my heart seeing the town continue to mourn her and assume she's dead. I can't wait to see her return though, and I have to imagine feelings will be torn between loving that she's alive and being very angry she did all of this. While I hate what Vanessa is doing, I'm happy to hear it's not totally against her character. I think you're right, had Henry still been around, she wouldn't put him through this. I'm still surprised she is with Bill, though. I get her feelings on Matt, because she wants him to move on, but still very heartbreaking. I'm glad this was Maeve's choice to have a break vs. being fired.    Interesting, so I'm curious to see who they eventually pair Phillip with. They're flirting with a Phillip/Annie pairing, but I'm not sure if they'll go that route with the Jeva drama, her growing pill addiction, and Rick's past with her.  Ugh, yeah I'm so sad to see Bridget do a total 180 in the last couple weeks. She has always been a strong character from what I've seen, but now she's just bending over backwards to get Hart to love her and it reeks of desperation. Yeah, sure, this new Hart is eye candy, but I'm already tired of seeing Hart/Dinah have sex all over Springfield and the Cayman Islands haha.
    • Yes.  I remember them together during the early summer of 1986.  They didn't share scenes again for 30 years until 2017 because Carrie wasn't on the show when Anna returned during Sydney's kidnapping.
