A successful businesswoman? Are we SERIOUSLY talking about the same character here? The very same woman who is so lazy and inept with absolutely no desire to work and only wants to marry a rich, wealthy guy so that she can spend all his money on all kinds of junk? The same woman who couldn't even keep her own fashion company going because of bad investments? LOL! Don't make me laugh!

I'm not naive, I'm being realistic here. I want better for female characters on this soap but it's pretty obvious that is never going to happen because these writers are just going to keep on perpetuating the same old tired tropes every single time and they are going to keep on writing for a certain subset of viewers that refuse to change with the times. And I highly doubt that's ever going to change. And at this point I'm not even going to hold my breath and wait for it to happen.

Maybe we'll hear some reactions in the upcoming week. I'll never believe that every single actor like every single storyline for 7 years.

Thanks!

Not really sure why Julie Dove is that thankful, considering the way she's being written, but whatevs.

Yes exactly.

A few years ago, Julie Dove won a contest to appear in one episode of Days, and she was filmed but her scene was entirely cut.  She posted the deleted scene on her social media.  (edit: the show uploaded the cut scene onto Days social media, and then she quoted it.)  A year or two later they hired her to appear for a short scene as one of Sloan's legal clients, and that scene aired.  She posted then about being happy/grateful, etc.   Then later they hired her to be in a scene with Li.  But basically nothing else.   She was still glad to be hired.   Then more recently Ron wrote her into the current Li storyline.   So even if her current storyline is stupid, I think she's just grateful for some work, especially since she was originally supposed to be in only one episode.

Yes, that's why she's thankful. She did one episode in 2022 where she yelled at Chad & Abigail in Horton Town Square. Her scene was cut and never aired. Ron heard about it and that she was a big fan of Days, so he made sure to get her scene uploaded online and then brought her back in 2023 and then made her a killer in 2024.

PAULA CWIKLY & JEANNE MARIE FORD'S LAST BLAST DANCE 2002 EPISODE...

Here's a look at one of the new head writing duo Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford's scripts from 2002. Cwikly was the head writer and Ford the script writer for # 9327, the Last Blast Dance 2002 episode:
