I don't think I have the mental or emotional strength to get through the sh!t-show of "hilarious" inside jokes that this Body & Soul thing is going to be.

So, Body and Soul was cancelled. Maybe those BTS politics were about  the head writer being checked out 😂😂

I did have sympathy for Abe though. His reaction did hit a little close to home lol again, I might like this storyline if they weren’t gonna treat like such a big stupid joke.

The rest of the episode wasn’t really that good though. I’m not really sure why Marlena can’t have actual scenes with Johnny instead of her just talking to him on the phone. And I’m not really sure why Chad needs Paulina’s approval to exhume Abby’s body.

As for Bobby-Everett, I just hope that his story about solving a murder makes sense.

It is predictable where this Everett/Bobby stuff is headed he will be revealed as Clyde son and he will try to kill Jada eventually

You know I actually really like the Kate/Abe friendship.  I don't even think a soap within a soap is that bad, but why isn't Johnny involved?  Didn't Abe just get a job with Paulina like last week?  The man is damn near 80 he should be working less and relaxing more lol.  At least it gives Kate more to do than walk around the pub talking to Roman.

As someone who was actually intrigued by the Bobby/Everett story, I am very disappointed how it's turning out.  Even if the story was good, the show drops it for weeks and I entirely forget about it.  The pacing for this story in particular was awful.

Abe is a charm magnet.  Abe & Nicole, Abe & Kate, Abe & John, he's a hit in every pairing, and makes each one more likable (except that nutty nurse from last summer).

Also, my prediction @John

Spoiler

Bobby/Everett's real DID diagnosis/treatment will be used to prove that nu-Abby is faking DID to con Chad for money.  Because I will bet the annual budget of Body & Soul, that is not Abby (especially because the actress only signed a 1-year contract).  And, all things being equal, I prefer DID to amnesia as a soap-based identity issue.

They're really trying, aren't they?!

I might get read for filth but, he is really unattractive. He's not a great actor and he is really boring. What could he even bring?! DAYS needs to be trimming the cast not collecting everyone who needs a damn job!

If they do bring ME back I'd recast him as Scotty Banning instead of resuming Tanner. More story possibility that way.

That's what I thought as well.  And then "the writer" poured gasoline on the incident and struck a match with his WGA Awards acceptance speech, where he defended himself against Geary in a most Dorian Lord-like fashion.

This I don't remember, but Ron's insanely bitchy anniversary post 'congratulating' GH a couple years ago on IG was nuts.

At this point with Everett/Bobby they should just kill his character off they aren't doing anything with him and his character is wasted airtime and Blake Berris is better as a killer on the show

I really like BB and I genuinely don't think it's his fault the story is flopping.  I thought the mystery of Everett/Bobby's identity was interesting at first.  It's clear this whole story was changed and affected by the strike as well as the fact it's been paced horribly.

Unfortunately I don't think Everett/Bobby has much chemistry with Stephanie or Jada.  I am fairly uninterested in either pairing.

I would wrap this story up and probably let Blake Berris go.  I don't think I would kill him off and I did sort of like him at the newspaper.   I guess it all depends on who Everett is related to because I have a feeling he's going to be suddenly connected to a bunch of things once we get into this murder he's talking about.

I still find his lack of self-awareness in that post absolutely hilarious

Agreed.

The changes in the storyline have really killed it. Bobby-Everett is practically a nothing character. And the fact that Stephanie is single and nothing’s happening with Jada doesn’t even leave any opportunities open to add another dynamic to it.

When I start to even try to piece together the story it makes less sense than usual Days stories.  Was Everett in a coma?  Did the coma make him forget his DID?  Did he switch back and forth between personas when he was with Jada and Stephanie because he was with both in the same time period?  How did he work as a reporter with two different names/identities?  No one caught on in Seattle?

Plus, it seems Everett had the Bobby side of him under control and Marlena made it worse lol.

Then it's the root ability of either pairing.  All the good times between him/Stephanie and him/Jada took place before when ever met Everett.

All the more reason just to end the storyline once the whole thing about Bobby solving a murder is resolved

Today's episode pretty much established that the writers are keeping Stephanie and Everett pairing together unless he is killed off they aren't going to ruin Rafe and Jada as the only adult interracial pairing on the show currently
