I agree. For all the things that I've loved (Alexis's journey, Finn's storyline, Jason&kids, Nina/Drew, character scenes, Sonny's meds) that had a clear direction, there has been things post May that has been giving off signs that PM has left the building (the vanishing of the tween set which says A LOT, Valentin aka Ho, Why You Still Here, Pikeman) because they have stalled or up and vanished. But...like I said...BTS drama.

Ho, yes, for a time I was irritated with Lucy. Not Lynn's fault of course. Also Lynn, like Laura Wright, is 100% there for the show, the team, everyone & everything. Knows everyone & everything, also. These unselfish actresses are very dear to my heart. This will be a non sequitur, so hold on. I am still furious that GH loaned Lucy's red wedding attire to Disney for some event. When it was returned, the hat was missing! Now we know some Disney employee has this stashed at their home. But, anyway, I am once again enjoying Lucy as I am the whole Deception gang!

It's the accent, isn't it? Because for my money, if I were going to Jaxize one of them it would be Adam J. Harrington, not Charles Mesure. I think that is because I feel rather strongly that we doan need no steenkin John Jagger Jinglemeyer Schmidt Cates! The only time I really felt he was worthwhile was when he was poking the Sonny Bear daily & I don't think you can make a character out of just doing that. 

Charles Mesure would have been an okay Jax except he's not Australian.  I just question the need for Jax at all.  I have always been a big fan of Jax as a character, but he is one of those characters you don't really miss when they are gone.  Sure he can hang out with Carly and his lame daughter and yell at Sonny, but like Jagger the show would just be tying a new actor to a familar name without purpose.

You know, recently I suggested that they kill Jax offscreen so Joss would be free of him & have her fortune, that is, unless it has an age requirement on it, like she has to be 25, as sometimes that is done. Goes to show just how useful I currently find Jax, huh?

I wouldn't kill Jax off.  I just don't find him necessary.  I would leave him in Australia for a possible endgame pairing with Carly or Brenda if it comes to that.   If you can't get Vanessa back in the end I would be okay with her ending up with Jax off screen and I think you leave the option open for Carly as well.  I don't really see Carson or Jarly as the happily ever after pairing for her either.

As much as Ingo is Ingo and awful, I do think it would be a disservice for such a long running character to be killed off screen with no drama.  I am sure most will disagree, but that's just my opinion on that.

No, I suspect my idea would be the unpopular one. For the reasons you have stated. Also Jax, the character, unattached to the actor's chicanery, is a probably historically very valuable character. And, people respect the history.

Well he may have been born in England but he actually moved to Australia (and likely has Australian citizenship) when he was 5 and lived there until he was 25 (including attending NIDA, Australia's most prestigious acting school) before moving to New Zealand and doing a lot of roles here (including Hercules and Xena, but strangely not LOTR lol).

That said, I don't see the need for Jax either.

Interesting.  I didn't know that.  I am not even that invested in Jax having an Australian accent.  Ingo's practically disappeared throughout the years and SR's Jerry had some sort of accent, but it wasn't Australian I don't think lol. 

But, again, there really isn't a need for Jax these days.

I mean, to be fair Jax spent years on the canvas doing very little.  He's a good foe for Sonny and was good with Carly, but otherwise it was a lot of rehashing of stories year after year.  Post-Brenda Jax was mostly an afterthought for Guza and barely did anything under RC/FV. I just have personally always liked Jax as a character, but I think Drew and Jagger sort of fill the Jax void currently.

Yeah Sebastian Roche had a Scottish mother, a French father and apparently they lived on a sailboat travelling around the Caribbean, Africa, South America and the Mediterranean during his teenage years so he has a slightly weird mix that sounds really posh lol

The last thing I can recall is Jax almost finding out that Sonny was alive in Nixon Falls thinking he was Mike & that was because of some connection Jax had with Nina. 

Speaking of Nina, what an absolutely fine punch that was yesterday!!! The whole time Willow was confessing, to Nina of all people even with her saying she had no one to tell BUT her, I was amazed. Why doesn't Willow have any friends?! And since Nina has none either, what a pair they made. 

But, as of now, Ava has no friends either. 

What is it with these dames in Port Charles? Why don't they have any girlfriends?

Obviously Natalia has no friends, probably never did.

While I think it would be an okay idea as well, I feel that even with Charles's talent, being Jax would box the actor in. The writers would never really allow Jax to be a gray character.

With the sheer tonnage of pointless nobody characters atm I've begun to reconsider trying a really solid Jax recast tbh. At least there would be a sensible reason to pair Carly with someone and there are roots and history if anyone cared enough to invest vs. just having Jax wandering around like he did a lot of the last decade (or two). This Brennan, Wagger, etc. shít is terrible and they are clearly stuck re: her and Jason. It's that or my preferred option, wait for Cobra Kai to end and Brad Bell to get bored and do the right thing for Sean Kanan lol.
