That sounds like a really cool upbringing lol.  I really could never place the accent so makes sense.

I actually don't remember the last thing Jax did, but the Nixon Falls stuff sounds about right.

I thought Willow was friends with Sasha, Maxie, Brook Lynn, Liz, etc.  She has friends I think.

Jax was a gray character to begin with when he first was introduced.  You could go back to that.  There just isn't really a point to re-invent Jax.  He has more ties than Jagger, but it would be the same thing to me.

Jax clearly has more purpose than Jagger or Brennan.  He has enough ties to work in several places, but I weirdly don't think Jax is missing in this or that story.  His absence doesn't bother me, but he's also still relevant on the current canvas.   Again their are multiple characters filling the Jax "role" and you could drop them all (Jagger, Brennan, Drew, Valentin, etc) and just recast Jax I suppose.

It's ruinous writing, especially because Anna and Robert are easily the most qualified people in town and always have been. But I suspect it's all to try and salvage Valentin again. It's no coincidence IMO that they dragged Charlotte back from oblivion from this.

I won't lie though - seeing Kirsten so reenergized and bossing up after years of depressing drabness makes me get back on the Michael/Maxie train I've been riding for over a decade. I'd still probably recast him and/or wait but I'd go there.

I’m having whiplash. It wasn’t that long ago these same writers had Anna denouncing Sonny but now she’s helping her criminal ex boyfriend escape the country? I totally understood Jason’s frustration today and Steve played it well.

Speaking of Jason, why the hell are they writing off his first born already? Jason with his baby mamas and kids has been the most interested I’ve been in him in about a decade.

Not the same writers, IMO. Mulcahey's name is still barely there but he's pretty much out of the building judging by a lot of swift story and character whiplash (Ava, Willow/Drew/Nina, nice guy Sonny, Natalia) in recent weeks.

Okay so I’m not going crazy noticing a shift in what we were getting before.

I’ve been enjoying Drew/Willow/Nina from the start but I was not expecting Willow to tell Nina about it so soon. I can’t see how this turns out any other way for Nina except Willow hating her again. I was hoping we’d get a longer more secrety triangle.

While true, it's the fact that for the last decade or so, the writers barely try to write for Jax as nothing, but a white knight who dislikes Sonny. And when Jax tries to color outside that line, he winds up back. I would hate to see that happen to a fine (and FOINE hehe) actor like Charles Masure.

I immediately thought Drew when this conversation started.  Going back to what I said about a white knight. Drew kinda would be the closest to that.

You're not.

It might be somewhat subtle, but it IS there.

WOW! What a SWEEPS day!!! Jason is so honorable, as a person, checking the clock, as Gates  is pounding on the door.

There is a rumor. You know I do not usually comment on them. However, I am  wondering about this one. And, it is that Vanna goes on the run & Jarly chases after them. Would today's GH do this? I do not know.

I believe that PM was in on things like deciding that they would put lots of eggs in July Sweeps & that Pikeman would be the biggest egg of all. But, then, this daily execution of things, I cannot see it.

Willow blew my mind again today. WTH is she doing going to Sonny & saying "I have a confession to make," and scaring the daylights out of all of us.

Did you catch that Cates considered the champagne a device for grooming someone & that someone gets to be Carly. WTH?!!! Who in their right mind would think that Carly would be swayed by some bottle of champagne?! How has Cates spent so much time with her & knows her so little?!

It's like anti-soap. The only interesting part in such a fast reveal is if they end up like Rae and Michael and Kimberley on Ryan's Hope and Willow guns him down leading Nina to take the blame. I would use that to start turning to an evil Willow arc where she decides she's justified in killing Drew and letting Nina rot.

Awww thank you.

I think it's safe to say that Wagger is a complete flop. In fact, I keep forgetting he is there until he pops up. And given his history and his importance to Jason's storyline and the Pikeman storyline that is surprising for sure.

The whole question for me is why they even brought Jagger back in the first place. I don't think it was necessary. Now that he's there, I say keep him around as the actor is decent and at least Jagger does have some old ties to GH but get him out of this plotline and try something different with him. Hell, they may as well bring Karen back from the dead while Kin Shriner is still there.

Hmmm Karen. So much history there. I loved Karen.

I don't think it was necessary either since Taggert is still in town...or is he?...because Taggert could have been used in the same way and has just as much history well more history than Jagger.

That's just more reason for this Pikeman story/Jason returns story to end. With it over with, we can see what the actor can do if they plan to keep him around. I think the potential is there, but he could have been someone new given how they haven't touched on his history too much since he was in scenes with Sonny constantly taunting him over Karen.

Thank you. I didn't realize there was confusion. You cleared it up.  It is more than crazy that this whole conversation is off-topic.
    • Sure!  And we promise, Mr Corday -- we will ridicule those wonderful old episodes daily on social media.   NOT!
    • "To give her child a name" just means to make the child legitimate and be able to take the father's surname.
    • I would say, Denise was the ONLY good thing about that insultingly ridiculous plot.  But all this took place near the end of Another World's "let's play everything for laughs" era.  Thank God that nonsense ended around 1988.
    • We could take an OATH: We swear we will hate these episodes!
    • Will I miss anything pertinent fast forwarding? I love that Kristina is so aghast someone could think she’s crazy after she just tried to kill someone. She’s basically saying my mom doesn’t know the full extent of my crazy, how dare she! It’s laughable. I genuinely don’t know what the show wants us to think of Kristina at this point,
    • Oh yes, that would be grand!  But Ken Corday will never allow that.  No executive-producer wants to hear people rave about how good his show "used to be".    Thank you for sharing that information.  I barely remember that plot, but it was so significant in DOOL's history.  Ramifications went on for years and years.
    • Not just that but Im sure she will be blamed for trying to poison Laura with potassium. Remember when Nicole started to put the pieces together that someone may have tampered with her IV? She dropped it bc she got distracted with the party, but they did make a note to mention that Eva lied and sent a card and flowers there on Nicole's behalf. Im sure they will say that that was just a cover for her to be in Laura's room and come for her
    • Susan named her son after her father, Richard, and they called him Dickie, for short. David had bought Dickie a play swing but it was too big for him. One day, while David was babysitting, he put Dickie in the swing, took his eyes off of him for a few seconds and he fell out of the swing, hit his head and died. Susan was so devastated that she shot and killed David only like a few episodes later.
    • Mickey Horton got her off, temporary insanity. Edit to add: If only Peacock would air this storyline.  Edit to add: David was supposed to be watching the child. Wasn't. Child fell out of swing, broke his neck. The show had the camera focus on that empty swing, just barely moving ...
