Okay here is at least one tiny piece of good news...TQ made the spoilers for next week wtih the Monica stuff

Lynda Hirsch spoilers for week of March 10:

Lucky overhears Elizabeth and Jason discussing the fact that she believes she's the person who ran down Sam. Sam is fired from "Everyday Heroes." Nikolas is rushed to the hospital after collapsing. He would rather die than lose his visions of Emily. A scalpel-wielding Nikolas holds everyone in the operating room at bay as he flies into one of his rages. He kicks Robin in the stomach, but then agrees to let Ian secretly treat him with an experimental drug. Scott accuses Lulu of deliberately hurting Logan in order to get revenge. Patrick tells Jason that his best chance for a complete recovery lies with a specialist in Seattle. Tracy confronts Monica with the clothes she was wearing on the night of Sam's accident. Spinelli discovers that Diego had planted several hidden bombs but can't crack the code to locate them. Many lives are in peril as a huge explosion engulfs the waterfront area. Michael confesses to Carly to having accidentally shot Kate and explains why he felt he had to run away.

SNEAK PEEK: Carly's world falls apart.

Just posting to tell Timeless how much more in love I am with her fic!! This chapter was hot...and they weren't even in the same room throughout most of it...which tells me that when they are, im in for a fabulous treat!! I Love that tracy is the agressor here too. She holds the cards and she knows it. And youve done something that i think is great in that you portray a les relationship thats still hot and sexy and not really mushy or anything because Tracy is not that sentimental, sweet nothings kind of girl. LOVE it..keep up the GREAT writing

ILOVETRAAACCCYYYY!!! Im totally waiting on a woman to come in from out of town that she says is just a buddy from her past and turns out to be some secret lover from an illicit lesbian affair she had in boardingschool...her first maybe. This isnt a spoiler or anything LOL i just think it would be hot.

Toodles lovelies...

ETA: Edward's offer? I hope its for her to move back in because I can't stand my girl living out of storage closets sneaking showers and stealing from patient's lunch trays...i know it shows how much of a survior she is but I dont like it one bit.

Hi kids, I am about to charter a effing bus, got to the GH set, and squat until I see some Tracy!

This is beyond ridiculous.

I hate to say it, and I believe someone else touched on it. I am beginning to resent TG.

I mean yes, they share a storyline, but why dont they ever let Jane stand on her own for more then 3 seconds?

Now that the writers are back, you'd think they would be spoon feeding Ms Elliot whatever they could!

I love Tony, truly I do, but I think his ego needs a break, and all the writers seem to do these days is stroke it,

Thats all,..I needed to be said, and I said it....sigh

Anyhoo,..to all my sick lil bidgies,..I am so sorry, Soup and Martini's and comfy covers all around!

    • Not to ramble too far off topic but it happens a lot with comics too, especially only wanting to keep cheap talent around and pushing out creative voices. There are some patches where creatives can go to start their own worlds...wish that was true with soaps, but who knows, maybe it can happen someday. I never thought we'd get a new soap this year.
    • Very true & also at least in the case of stand-out HWs, it is fraught with exhaustion & burnout.
    • Plus we are never going to have a Shonda Rhimes, a Dick Wolf, or a Chuck Lorre of daytime -- a single brilliant person who could come in and change the genre -- because Shonda, Dick, or Chuck would only be able to work on one soap opera at a time, not three or four at the same time as they do in primetime.  As long as TPTB insist on the 60-minute format, we will never have another super influential individual like Phillips, Nixon, or Bell.  They simply would never have time to do more than one soap opera at a time and that would stifle their influence overall. Thanks. So maybe this is happening to some degree in other entertainment genres.  I don't keep up with the particular franchises you mentioned, so I was unaware.  I appreciate your perspective.
    • I think it's become more common in other genres in recent decades, as the industry as a whole has collapsed - these are complaints that have been made about creative talents in the MCU, Star Wars, Doctor Who, etc.  The MCU is in that place now as they burnt so much goodwill that even when their new movie got strong reviews, the audience didn't show up - similar to how AW got some praise for their 89-93 material compared to some of the barren years beforehand, but viewers just weren't coming back.  (I know they did return, somewhat, in the JFP run, but not enough to make up for the big budget she used)
    • I mean I really hope so. Still kinda amazed though that it would get by Standards & Practices. A pair that was talked about that I could see it was Jacob Young & that guy who kept changing what name he went by Someone Martines at least part of the time, but at any rate Jacob was playing Lucky & this other guy was playing Nikolas.
    • Excellent explication. That doing it in these two examples, is not like doing it in other similar genres or franchises, so one could easily postulate that the people who hire do not generally consider "newbies" but instead insist upon experienced people, which leads to rehiring rather than hiring from "outside" which is what your closed system is all about.  When you think about it how many people can you name who did soaps who came from outside? I can only think of 3 HWs : Pete Lemay, Hogan Sheffer & Michael Malone. For EPs only 2: Wendy Riche & Linda Gottlieb
    • I saw some people mentioning this and I was curious too - did Bo already know Caroline was dead? Maybe they decided it was too much for Bo to process losing Caroline along with Victor and Doug.
    • @asafi Thanks for sharing. A nice milestone. I'm not sure if she is referring to just DAYS, as otherwise she isn't alone (Ken Barlow and Rita Fairclough on Corrie are two others).

    • Someone making that must have had a laugh. I have to admit I never saw any chemistry between them.
    • That'a an interesting comparison, and might be a parallel.  But i also know too little about sports  to really comment on it's accuracy.  It might have something to do with a "closed" system, and the consuming nature of producing or writing a daytime drama and coaching.  Both in football and daytime, those factors make it hard for new talent to break into the system.  And even a very talented coach or daytime writer or executive producer can only do one team (or one show) at a time, limiting that person's impact on the entire system.
