Expecting that from gh is a long stretch. I ususally always watch for him wearing his ring but since LuNacy hasn't really been on it's hard for me to watch since I ff'd most of the show or watch clips.

I guess TPTB don't expect fans to pay attention to the small details involving their favorite characters/couples. I think they think we are idiots, to whom they can spoonfeed whatever garbage they try to pass off as story.

In all honesty, they have been extremely consistent about Luke wearing his ring. it must have been an oversight by the wardrobe department. Perhaps TG washed his hands and forgot to put it back on his finger. Except for that garbage with Laura a few years back and Robert's dream in NSII, I can't remember a time when Luke wasn't wearing his ring. In fact he's been more consistent than Tracy (I'm not referring to JE or TG who have been consistent in their character's attire regardless).

Just saw Friday's episode and all I've got to say is GO JOHNNY!!!!! About time someone else started to tell Robin to f-off. I can't believe the self-righteous bitch was snooping in his apartment and STILL tried to pull the victim card to excuse her behaviour. She's got gall.

Oh wow - started reading at 9 last night - still reading at 6 this morning......I think it's gonna be a loooong day!!!!! but WOW - is all I can say......You people are amazingly talented ----you should be writing for GH and not the pitiful excuses they have now.....then maybe we could lose the mob and actually have a reason for calling it general hospital other than to patch up the mob hits!!! Of course - Tracy and Luke would have a much better and bigger part if ya'll were writing....

It's a beautiful day here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.....I am going to try using the sunshine to keep me awake - have a great day!!!

until tonight when I start reading again........

Johnny has gone from being one of my favorites to being my favorite male character! (Love LuNacy, but Luke himself...wasn't even in the running. His fault. ^_^ )

And the piece de resistance "...and get some therapy!!!":lol: *applause* *applause*

Johnny is KING!

Hi all.

Welcome to LuAnn.

Linnie, that’s the longest fanfiction I have ever written! I remember it took me nearly 2 and half years to finish. Glad you enjoyed it.

Aww, TracyQ. I feel so honored. No one’s ever called me a “celebrity” before. LOL. It’s been a pleasure making videos with you.

hooked, have fun! I always wondered how many students look at colleges before going. I started off at community college (had a scholarship so I didn't have to pay for tuition at all - yay), and then I knew I wanted to go to Illinois State University because of its teacher education program. I don't even think I looked at pictures of the college before applying. Is that odd???

I remember a million years ago when I was about to graduate high school, my guidance counsellor asked what universities I had applied to and I told him Mount Allison. He thought that rather foolish and asked what other universities I applied for, to which I responded Mount Allison. Now that's as close to "Ivy League" as we get in Canada with more Rhodes Scholars than anywhere else in the world, and obviously I wasn't smart enough to be accepted in his estimation. I remember he finally wore me down so I applied for Acadia also. About a week later I got my acceptance to Mount Allison and he was floored. In his mind I was being too narrow minded and setting myself up for rejection, lol.

I don't think he understood that I spent the first 7 years of my life at Mount Allison while my parents received their degrees from that school. Sometimes ya just know.

Your guidance counselor sounds like a complete as$-hole, remos. I'm sorry he was so rude to you! Did you storm into his office and do an in your face dance when you got accepted!? I would have, LOL.

I don't remember. I just know I KNEW I was going to go to Mt. A, no questions asked. My daughter speaks with the same certainty - hope she follows in the path of our family. I've even got her grandmothers' Choral jacket and grandfather's lab coat when she's ready. She's the only child to carry my name, so those items belong to her. I do remember the staff in high school thought I wasn't terribly smart. My brother and sister used to get all A's, and I was a C student. Now 20+ years later, I've got the Master degree and am preparing for my Ph.D. in a few years, my sister has a B.Ed she never uses and my brother couldn't get through one term anywhere he tried.

So I ask… (well actually I don't :P)… who ended up being the best student. It also didn't help that I was big boobed and blonde. wink.gif

    • on ryan’s hope, when kate mulgrew (mary) became pregnant in real life it was written into the show. she gave the baby up for adoption, but mary had the baby (ryan) so, when she returned to the show she had to play a happy new mother. can’t even imagine.
    • I have not found the time to listen to the whole thing myself, but I was tinkering with the Youtube AI helpbot thing (which in the app I found by swiping right on the Comments). The high level summary didn't point to it but it let me ask what she had said about Constance Ford and although its paraphrase was inaccurate it did point me to the mention about 52 minutes in. The only thing she said in relation to Ford that could be construed as negative was that when the interviewer asked what she had thought of her she started with "you devil!" and where she had gushed about how lovely she found practically everyone else, she just said that she hadn't really known Connie well and had never sat and talked with her. She also mentioned earlier that originally she had been very friendly with Jacqueline Courtney but they had later fallen out.
    • Gloria Monty started using tape editing but I doubt that was straight away. Maybe a few weeks/months in. Did Gloria hire new directors?-I would imagine so. She stated that she located the old tape machines used for the late night ABC Wide World of Mystery videotaped movies (some of which she directed). That meant that scenes could be shorter and chopped up, rather than one long scene playing start to end. Lamont was recast, probably with a more dynamic actor and the Mark/Katie story continued till mid 78. Marland brought on Dan Rooney, Susan Moore and Gary's brother Howard. Also Chris Robinson took over in May. So Marland pretty much followed his rules-not making any major cast changes and working/refining what was there. Laura killing David was really the first big story that boosted the ratings.
    • Her description was a bit off but it was 52 years ago so we can give her a pass.
    • Oh. Ok. I just looked at the article. Thanks. Perhaps they changed Jack's name to Stuart, added a daughter and had them all have different hair colors.
    • Thank you. That's what I thought because of the year but who was "Jack with the three blonde daughters"?
    • You can watch it here without an app: https://www.cwtv.com/shows/tv-we-love/dynasty/
    • There are so many beats that could be played with relationships and history b/w  characters. But cast/set restrictions (and loust writing) are destroying that. Really liked seeing Jack and Nikki catch up. Trouble is, in the current version of Y&R it had to continue the entire episode. Hearing Lily talk on the phone to Maddie-how much better if we had actually seen the kids during Cane's return. Would the original actors return for a short stint? Maybe not and perhaps they don't feel a recast would work. All of this could have been avoided by letting BF be a new character. For the amount of difference it's made , there was really no need to bring back Cane.
    • Zeman said Marland created Barbara Jean Spencer, they called her Barbara until she and Monty decided Bobbie would be better as a nickname. It was almost Barbie IIRC, and they didn’t think that was right. She also has said on more than one occasion that she came in during the transition and Monty didn’t hire her, but ended up liking her. So Scotty and his friend must have been talking about her. This episode was fascinating. I am so happy it was shared. I can absolutely see why the show was in trouble. It’s lifeless and old fashioned as far as dialogue and some of the staging. Monty herself said she threw those episodes out, so that makes me think they were even worse. Which really made sense to me watching this because I only saw a glimpse of Monty in the less static scene with Rick moving all around while talking to David and the same type of staging with Scotty, Laura, and his friend’s name I cannot remember right now. That long ass scene through Monica’s eyes was very old fashioned as far as style. I can also see why the ratings started rising relatively quickly. Most of the earliest Monty shows I have seen are a few months later, and the show is very different. It moves, the characters are more intense, the staging has movement, and it feels more modern for the time. By the time you get to 1979 it’s really rocking and I totally get it in a way I didn’t before just from seeing this. Genie was so young to play that story with creepy Hamilton. And Kin sure was cute as nice guy Scotty.
    • Kate previously shadow directed or directed some scenes? on Days before GH, so it's been a passion of hers for a bit.
