I guess that’s what we’re supposed to assume now. It just feels weird. Almost like it’s being written by a different writer

Those Chad/Johnny scenes of them talking about a Dimera curse was such a missed opportunity

I think Eric said that St. Jude was the patron Saint of suffering

Out of those three, Stefan really is the weak link. It’s like he tries to be a tough guy, but deep down, he’s really just a bumbling sad sack

No. St. Jude is the patron saint of seemingly-impossible miracles happening.
(I don't know what Eric said today, but that's who St. Jude is.)
That's why St. Jude's Children's Hospital has that name.  In hopes of cures of diseases.

I studied this because my close family member was unable to have children, and then miraculously she got pregnant.  She gave her son the middle name Jude specifically for this reason.

Sometimes called the Patron saint of the impossible, for hope when all seems hopeless. etc.

Yep

We now had to believe that Susan and Dr. Rolf were lurking around and waiting, even though Ben immediately took Will’s body and dumped it as his apartment.

But at least that storyline was told with obvious good intentions lol and it brought Will back so I didn’t mind it.

The Maggie/Julie scenes were nice… until Konstantin showed up. Dude really does drain the life out of every scene that he’s in. Hopefully, the spoilers about him are true.

And whoever was asking about the Horton house set, I think it’s the exact same set, not a new, smaller one. The black paint and curtains on the French doors are a little ugly lol but everything else looks nice.

Kristen was a bit of an idiot today but I guess her dumping Alex is in character for her. The woman’s only loved two men in her entire life and as much I’d love for her to finally get over Brady, I like that she’s not being changed for the sake of storyline. I do like how messy this whole storyline is getting though and I’m looking forward to tomorrow when Alex probably finds Brady and Theresa.

And, I also liked the Chad/Lucas scenes even though Lucas being skeptical about Abigail possibly being alive was stupid, considering he went through the same thing with Will.

Today's show was a snooze fest and lots of fast forwarding.

The Maggie and Julie scenes were the best part of today's show.

Is there a purpose in keeping Alex?

RSW has not improved as an actor and isn't even eye candy anymore.

Do you think Ron or any of the writers know what's in the Horton time capsule?  Julie has been talking about that thing for months and there has been literally no movement in that storyline thread at all.  They.........still can't get it opened lol.

Theresa/Brady came a little out of nowhere for me.

Ava/Harris having a rift was weird too.  I know Steve/Harris are leaving, but Ava's has done about 20 worse things in the time they have been dating that Harris has easily forgiven her for.

Yes, Julie & Maggie, good, always is. Kristen surprised me. With Clyde's allegation I find I have to know more. I wonder now that he's been apprehended if John & Steve are about to be in trouble. Mostly I muttered throughout the whole show. I am so sick of Konstantin. Whatever. Carry on, I guess.

BTW, I asked AI what St. Jude is the patron saint of. I was thinking that it's of lost causes. Here:

St. Jude, also known as Thaddeus, is the patron saint of lost causes and impossible situations. He was one of Jesus’ original twelve Apostles and is believed to have written the Letter of Jude in the Bible. His popularity among Catholics likely stems from his association with helping those in desperate need. According to tradition, St. Jude miraculously healed the ruler Abgar V of Edessa, which led to his patronage of lost causes12. If you find yourself facing seemingly insurmountable challenges, St. Jude is often invoked for intercession and hope3.

Today felt like when you come back from vacation, and someone was using your office for a meeting.  You have to tidy up, get rid of unwanted stuff, and get your head straight before you can move forward.

One tends to think RonC didn't want Kristen and Alex together (it doesn't fit the vibe, because his romantic partners are always obsessed with each other), he's got to craft an exit for Harris, and he needs to backtrack to his original idea for Theresa.

It reminds me of when the Dobson's returned to Santa Barbara in the early 90s and admitted that they hadn't watched any episodes while they were gone.  I mean, he even forgot why they named the baby Jude.

    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
