Not telling JR is not good, however he was 18 at the time. She needed to find and pertect her infant daughter. I don't think that she realized that it would take her 4 years. And I believe in her mind, the longer it dragged on the more she felt that her family would not forgive her. I'm not saying it is right, but Dixie has never been insincere or malicious in anyway.

I think he was actually 17 when she left him not that it matters. I dont think there's much Dixie can say to excuse herself. She better have a good reason. Tad is that's child's father and if she was trying to find her, then he SHOULD have been informed. She definetly looks like she could have used the help bc she hasnt been able to do it on her own. I defiently dont think anything she has done was malicious but it was still selfish and wrong nonetheless

I'm thinking that she felt shame. Something tells me that Madden sweet talked her into giving her baby up (like Kendall, like making Julia feel that she didn't deserve to be a mother) when she was recouperating. Then when she came into her right mind, she knew she made a mistake and wanted her baby back. I think giving Kate up under any circumstance would have caused shame and caused her family to really be disappointed in her. However, in hindsight Tad will see for himself what kind of MadMan Madden is, and how he may have manipulated Dixie's decision. But he will not forgive her for a very long time for playing dead because she should have come to him.

Also, David is stupid. You do not hurt the person that you claim to love. If he really loved Dixie he would not act like a toddler and throw a fit seeking to destroy JR for revenge. He should know that JR will not only turn on Dixie (which is what he wants) but JR will try to destroy Babe (which he does not want)

Wow - I can't wait for you to upload it Ryan! I unfortunately missed it today during GH.

She's sipping on margaritas? haha....you know these scenes are going to be powerful though. Cady mentioned in her blogs that she had the entire crew leave so they could both pour their hearts out over these scenes.

oh hell yeah!!!! I so can't wait for this....even the Dixie/Adam stuff will be fun. Man I'm loving this return - even though it took forever, the fact that she has been hiding around and whatnot makes the encounters that much better and enjoyable and shocking.

Thanks for uploading the video! I think Dixie does try to find JR to tell him and that is why she is at the Chandler Mansion with Adam and Krystal. I saw a scoop where JR leaves town with Babe on a trip so I assume that is how JR doesn't know about Dixie yet. I guess David somehow sends JR over to where Dixie is at the bar when JR returns.

    • Forbes also likely got the primetime career Zimmer wanted - never a huge star, admittedly, but a stalwart, able to dip in and out when she saw fit and generally not paying an industry price. Zimmer felt extremely hurt by her lack of success after leaving GL and even more hurt when JFP made it clear GL had moved on from Reva. (JFP, self-sabotaging as ever, soon made it clear that was not actually the case, but with a stronger producer, GL could have genuinely moved on from Reva)
    • Oh wow - I must see this promo!  Anyone have a copy/link to it? I can't believe they 'accidentally' did that, and if so, I wonder if someone got in trouble haha. Kim did mention in Chapter 1 that the 'suits' dangled some hopeful carrots for a long time, saying they would pitch the show and try and get it on another network or online somehow where it would be cheaper. They even heard rumors that Lifetime would pick it up, so it gave some folks hope for a little while, but sadly nothing came of it. Kim said she was already resolved that it would never go anywhere and she had peace of mind about that shortly after the announcement.
    • Same. I absolutely agree. It's a real shame, too. I had a lot of hope for the Character.
    • He's been written that way for about twenty years, so I suppose it is fitting. They should have done repair work, but I still think this return was pushed on Frank by ABC and he sandbagged the whole thing. If so, I guess he got what he wanted. I mostly feel bad for Becky Herbst. I've never loved Liz, but she should be given more respect than she is by TPTB, rather than always being a step away from losing her job.
    • Wow. This show is ridiculous.
    • There's a 1997 promo somewhere of Annie vs. Reva which ends with Reva throwing her purse across the room. IIRC, from what soap magazines at the time said, that was not an actual scene but was (allegedly) a real confrontation which somehow got into a promo.  I do wish Wheeler had moved faster - maybe that was as fast as she could go, or maybe she took for granted that they would stay on. I know the show probably couldn't have improved drastically, but I do wish they'd had one year, and Irna's babies could have ended at the same time.  I have already spent enough years comparing the GL and ATWT finales, but I agree. As someone who quit watching GL in disgust around the early/mid '00s the show did remind of its old self at the end. ATWT's ending was an extended Goutman ego trip. One show had a poignant death of a character whose passing was long overdue...one slaughtered a vibrant young man so we could get James Rehborn (wonderful as he was) playing chess for homophobes.  The Grant Aleksander interview I posted a few weeks ago had him talking about learning GL was canceled because Ron Raines called him at Home Depot. He said they knew it was probably going to happen, but that believing something will happen and it actually happening are very different.
    • Thanks. I just hope this choice isn't why Billy is leaving, as they should have done all they could story-wise to make him want to stay.  Maybe he had already told them he was going. I hope so.
    • This is amazing. They didn’t even make it 6 months into Trump‘s term

    • This is where the timeline gets a little muddy. The Bo who was in Heaven, in Beyond Salem 2 knows that Caroline died. But in this alternate timeline, where Bo never actually died and was held in cryogenics by Megan, shouldn’t know about Caroline.  It does seem like the new writers don’t have much interest in her, or in the possible pairing with Chad.
    • Leslie's campiness has become irritating to me, not mesmerizing anymore.  It's getting repetitive, constantly plotting and flirting.  She's become a cartoon, sadly, and the actress is worth more than that. I want to fastforward through her, but now I watch to see her scene partners react.
