Note: "BTG" will be the official acronym used for "Beyond The Gates" on the SON Community. Posts/threads created should always start with "BTG:" going forward.

For reference, the current soap acronyms are "B&B" (The Bold and the Beautiful), "DAYS" (Days of our Lives"), "GH" (General Hospital") and "Y&R" (The Young and the Restless). "ALL" is for all shows, while "AMC" is for All My Children.

Also, #BeyondTheGates is the official hashtag to be used on social media, per CBS.

Facebook and Instagram pages have been created, but are not active. Will share the link when they are officially available.

I saw the promo during commercials while watching Bold... and even reordered part of it from the TV to have as a memory.

Pretty much everything that immediately replaced canceled soaps has been canceled itself.

The Curse of the cancelled soaps.

I’ve always found the irony of all this amazing: a soap was canceled for a talk show, and now that same talk show has been canceled for a soap.

And imagine waking up in year 2035 and there are 10 active daytime dramas.

A girl can only dream and provoke the Gods...

Interesting bit of tea from MVJ re: GH. I put a marker for that discussion in the GH Classic thread. Odd to think of that time as 'classic' now, we're all getting old.

🤣 Don't remind me.

Everything is a classic these days.
People don't remember what they had for breakfast this morning because of the obsession with social media and random info, images etc.

People who remember all of Erica Kane's last names and are dreaming of watching at leaste one LOVERS & FRIENDS and WHERE THE HEART IS episode have a different idea about "classics".

Episodes from ten years ago feel almost new to me. The fact that soaps haven't invested in fascinating new characters and the same people are always front and center makes it much easier.

In 2035 B&B will probably be all about the Spencer half sisters Beth and Kelly fighting over Clarke Garrison’s great-grandson  Clarke IV by that point. 🤣

Late to the party but I just absolutely love the promo and gotten myself completely excited! I’m so thrilled and can’t wait for the premiere.

I did watch the Talk’s final episode today as well, just to see what they had to say. Didn’t seem like a sad occasion but rather good celebration of what they had at least since Chenbot & Sharon left. I’m quite sure they will all end up with new gigs soon enough.

I think come next month we'll see a second installment of this in the form of a FULL trailer. I hope so. And I hope it has other characters in it beyond the Duprees. I want a glimpse of what these other characters are up to.

In 2035 B&B will probably be like you stopped watching today... for 2 weeks... and then came back... and found that nothing has changed. It will be the same old Ridge runs to Taylor recast Number 1872829 after Brooke did something or didn't do something.

Ah yes I can see it now in 2035 Ridge will be played Chad Duell, Taylor played by Camilla Banus, and 75 year old KKL will still be opening those legs 😅

Dr. Ted the brilliant plastic surgeon. Dr. Nicole's husband and Andre's uncle.

Jacob the police detective and Naomi's husband.

If imbd is even slightly reliable, then I hope this dude, Malachi Malik, shows up. Allegedly, he's Jacob's dad, Elon Hawthorne. He looks good. Hook him up with Dani to annoy Bill.
