Nice to see a teaser, though bar the outdoor scenes (which I doubt will last, or will be common beyond the first few episodes) I don't think it exactly looks that much more high budget and out place with the other CBS soaps (which it shouldn't anyway). The mansion living area set looks nice, though the office looked a bit cramped which is to be expected.

Of course we can't say anything about the writing, which will be the most important factor here. I just hope they'll roll out the characters gradually rather than trying to introduce everyone too soon.

Anita is posing in that first picture like she's ready to pummel that person she's talking to. Like she's ready to pull off the earrings. Cast members have been weighing in. One called the show over the top while another described it as being insane.

Oooooo love. TT with that drapery on one side and her hair on the other walking toward the camera is giving diva. DD with the bob and side turn is giving vixen. And KM with the golfclub. Over that dramatic music...YES, PLEASE.

YES YES YES!

I'm not going to prescribe the order of the opening, lol.

Same! If anything, based on promo/social media, the four main Dupree family members would be at the forefront.

Actually, I'm not a fan of featuring cast members in openings, since we know how cast members can come and go so quickly on soaps.  But that's just me.

While I do see your point, I'd like to have some hope that production has some pull on this. Plus, the few shots from the teaser looked ten-times better than what The Young and the Restless have produced for their present opening, which looks cheap and horrendeous.

It's entirely possible there will be no cast opening. Just the shot of the house and gates we've seen in the promos.

I've suggested this prior. A-la something like what EastEnders and Hollyoaks have done:

Personally I’m hoping for the show to succeed. However the promo feels lackluster to me, in typical CBS 2020 fashion.

Considering it's more of a teaser trailer than a trailer trailer, I think it does an effective job. It's doing its job: teasing.

Once January hits, I am sure we'll get another teaser of sorts.

Too bad they didn't go for Georgia for the show's actual setting because this iconic tune might've worked as an opening, especially if they did it without cast members, although I think it would've worked just as well WITH cast members.

Hehe. Same. And I can't wait to see what they do about promotion.

Considering how widespread media sites were for the casting, I can imagine it'll be something worth while. And likely some local news appearances in the Atlanta area.

With all due respect, @vanguard, I think that song would be too "sleepy" for an opening.

So cheesy elevator music it is. I'm fully prepared to be disappointed just in case.

Not to mention, it'd never ever happen.

Well of course it would never happen now based on their already established decision NOT to set it in The Peachtree State. Again, I'm fully prepared for something lame, just in case.

I'm actually curious what they'll do for a theme since we haven't had a new one in yonks and there's nothing current to compare it to. The Bold and the Beautiful is very 80s prime time soap, so I'm not sure what they'll mold it on. Do we know who is composing music for the show yet?
