 This sounds like maybe BTG??

That's what [most] are guessing, especially if NDA's are involved. He kept mentioning biggest and best network (which CBS is often noted for being, and would be a dig at ABC), and the writers, etc.

It actually kind of does and it would be a very good outcome if true. Him playing a hotheaded bad boy on GH makes him very formidable. As Patrick Dupree, he could be the black Victor Newman, Roger Thorpe, or Adam Chandler.

Oh, and I already think he would look great working alongside Miss Tamara Tunie.

A very talented actor who would be great casting. CBS was long referred to as the 'Tiffany Network' because of its perceived high quality.

His character wasn’t needed anyway anymore with that bloated cast. He’s better off on another show

Curtis could've made an unannounced, unacknowledged exit and it would've been fair. Taggert > Curtis any day of the damn week.

I feel like his character could've made sense, but they didn't play the history. With Trina around and dating Spencer, it only seemed logical to bring back Gia who had a similar relationship with Nikolas. Plus, Lynne Moody looks fantastic and could've come back as Taggart and Gia's mom. Instead the focus seems to be more on Curtis and his family when I'd argue it would make more sense to focus on Portia or Trina's extended family.

I wouldn't be mad at Real Andrews on Beyond the Gates. He's proven himself to be a strong leading man.

So, if earlier reports were true, BTG starts taping in two weeks. Hopefully, we'll get a media blitz of announcements.

I'm certainly waiting for more. If those earlier character descriptions had some degree of accuracy, then there are still more female characters to be announced. And none of the male characters have been given a name or face. Let's get on with it, shall we?

Ya'll are acting like they don't know what they're doing. Trust the dang process. We don't even have a premiere date, and you want to know all of the casting at this point. 🤣 Clearly, NDAs were signed, and for specific reason. CBS does not want anything coming out before they want it to.

They will be on set in less than two weeks. It's not like we have much longer to wait for information. I'm sure by the time they start filming they'll do another media blitz with more substantial casting information.

They have a limited amount of time to promote the show and I think they're using their time well. Starting by announcing three name soap actors allowed them to create some buzz for the series. Next they can announce the start of filming and the broader cast. Once they get some material under their belt they can start providing pictures, promos, etc.

Basically, things are about to start rocking and rolling for us. January is not far away. Plus, don't they announce midseason schedules in November/December? So we should know the premiere date soon as well.

As noted in the last casting announcement, January is no longer mentioned as a premiere. It's not referenced as "early 2025," likely postponing until after the inauguration, etc.

Even then, I still don’t think we have much longer to wait for a premiere date. I’d be surprised if they don’t announce it with their mid season schedule. The Talk is ending in December so they’ll need to fill the slot sooner than later.

Also, more progress:

Looks good; dying to see the quality of HD they have, or even if it's 4K! Praying for top visual.
