ARTICLE: Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers Return to ‘Days of our Lives’ as Eli and Lani (aka “ELani”)

Although their return is expected to be brief, actors Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers are set to visit “Days of our Lives” during the Thursday, February 29 episode.

“It was definitely good to get back in the mix of things with Sal and have some scenes with her, and I’m sure it will be really exciting for the fans to be able to see Eli and Lani together again,” said Archey to Soap Opera Digest about the pair’s upcoming return to the series, which he found “easy” when it came to stepping back into the “ELani” world. 

Speaking of their off-screen friendship, Archey noted that he enjoys working alongside Stowers and says, “Our friendship goes well beyond ‘Days of our Lives.’ I knew her before [we worked together on the show] so there’s never the thing where we have to get used to each other again or feel like we have to dust off the cobwebs.”

As for what brings their characters back to Salem this time around after they formally departed in 2022, and following a brief visit in 2023, fans can look forward to some family time as Eli and Lani return to support Lani’s mom, Paulina (Jackée Harry), who is recovering from surgery after a major medical diagnosis.

Since departing “Days of our Lives,” Archey can be seen more frequently as Principal D’Angelo Carter on “All American” on The CW, while Stowers appears in the current season of the Tyler Perry-created drama “Sistas” on BET. Stowers plays Penelope on the show.
