He's said something like he'd be glad to work any & every time they call but he can't be spending time worrying about them not calling. And, he does something having to do with cars which he finds very fulfilling. And, that is neither opinion nor fact. It's off the top of my head paraphrase.

I just watched an episode from 2018 and rememebred this post. They were definitely doing it back then. They did it twice in one episode form late 2018. One second Anna and Finn are talking to Britt in prison presenting a deal to get her out and the very next scene she is chowing her face down at the Floating Rib with no transistion. Later that episode Chase is talking to Willow about some grief counseling pamphlet in her car and the very next scene we see her going to the group session again with no transition. This was just a regular episode
