For this *unspoiled* Dec. 2023 thread, I'll post two old clips.

The original Heather Tom's Victoria with Cole, seeing baby Eve through the glass in the NICU:
(from November 16, 1998)

The second clip in this next tweet (Amelia Heinle in the green sari) is from November 6, 2015.  It shows AH's Victoria remembering seeing Eve through the glass in the NICU.

Well to be fair...it's a given that there would be a reveal so that is NOT at all a spoiler.

And anyone that knows me here knows that I loathe being spoiled. And even when I am spoiled, I stay vague. Thus, I ain't talking specifics. Heck, I don't know the specifics cuz...what was it I say about not wanting to be spoiled?

I waited until a couple of days after the dialogue references to that baby aired in the USA (on Wed Nov 29) ... before referring to it here in the unspoiled thread for Dec. 1st.
And still I'm not giving any spoilers.  The baby was discussed on Wed. Nov. 29, but the claims that were made about what happened in the past, we don't really know yet if those claims are true or not.

It's probably not that! It must have something to do with Jordan, Claire was Just her Pawn in that game, When Victoria pitied her saying she was confused and Victor said She was Just as bad as her Aunt, All I wanted was someone to shut him up with something like "She was Manipulated Victor, You of all people should know about it!"

I know "it's a soap" but the business stories on Y&R get me crazy.

Can anyone tell me....is there really any way for Tucker McCall to take over Jabot or Chancellor/Winters? Especially with something secret and under-handed?

I don't get why this show constantly resorts to this "I'll just step in and take over the entire company" crap.

The business story overload is going nowhere. It's so boring. Why are they having meetings at Devon place instead of the offices?

The business storyline with Tucker is all about nothing. There is zero movement in this story.

Y&R is all about business stories with nothing else to offer until CZ was brought in for the whiplash blink and you miss it Claire story.

Michael Fairman interviewed Hayley Erin
Friday December 1, 2023.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkKOz7Grz4U
They were careful not to give out any spoilers.
Mostly just a review of her getting cast, working with Melody and Colleen, and what has already aired.

Hayley also talks about being best friends with Chloe Lanier who played Nelle Benson on GH. At first I thought she was referencing the Y&R character Chloe but then I realized she was talking about the actress Chloe Lanier.

Thanks! I couldn't figure that out.

And third newbie observation: I hate Tucker. That person, that character, is worthless & beneath Ashley to have to deal with him! Did Stephen Nichols play Tucker once upon a time & was he an awful waste of humanity then, too?

Not As Much, But Stephen Nichols' Tucker was Pretty One Note, The only word To Describe him was "Business Mogul"!

But I don't remember him being this much of An Assh- or as unfaithful! But he did cheat on Ashley! With Genevieve, Harmony and Diane!

    • It really is ridiculous how happy episodes from 40 years ago make me. God, MKA is so young!
    • Holy sh.it. THAT was a damn soap opera. I’m at a loss for words for how good that was.
    • A private elevator penthouse with a spiral staircase to the primary suite.  Sign me up! The only deficit was that various riff-raffs seemed to have easy access to the elevator.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get it. While I agree with those on here that say he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.
