Members Soapsuds
Alan is tone deaf. Colleen brought it up several times briefly as to why she hadn't returned to daytime even though she had gotten offers. I don't recall how Colleen explained in detail more about her tragedies. Colleen seems thrilled to be back on daytime especially on YR which she said is the only soap she still watches. Melanie Smith ex Emily was in the chat room congratulating her on Colleen return to daytime. I was surprised that she was intimated by Liz when they first met. Shocked that Andrew Kavovit had been fired from ATWT. I always thought he had left on his own.
Members Khan
I'm shocked, too, but I'm not surprised. I'm sure TPTB thought he wasn't "hunky enough," or that he looked too boyish on screen.
Members Soapsuds
That's what Colleen said the people in charge of P&G told her. She was not happy. Edited November 30, 2023 by Soapsuds
Members DramatistDreamer
Wow, I didn’t know that either. Considering how much the show would go on to struggle with casting Paul over the years, I hope they regretted that decision. His boyish looks would have came in handy when the show decided to SORAS Jennifer, then Will, all Barbara’s children would likely have been able to form a more cohesive unit. It seems like that ‘let’s replace him because he’s not hunky enough for our show’ approach would land the ax on Scott DeFreitas as well.

Members Paul Raven
Yes, is surprising. They are quite random about what plot points get shown and have a set and extras. Whole storylines eg Aria's adoption pretty much happened at Crimson Lights.
Members lucaslesann23
I'm not great with money and math, how much do you think it costs to put a "small" set. Just one room 3 walls, and a few extras? Just always crazy to me to watch even 2003 and see giant sets full of people.
Members Liberty City
As I've explained many times before... it's less about the cost and more so about the fact they have no overnight crew to assemble the sets like they did pre-COVID.
