Post which was the last movie you saw and whether it was any good.

Taking Lives with Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke.

It was pretty good and had some nice twists.

Or.........

Post what song you're currently listening to and whether others should check it out!

Where do broken hearts go? .....Whitney Houston

Wow, I was just listening to that! LoL

Now, I'm listening to "The Prayer" duet with Celine Dion and Josh Groban. Really AMAZING vocals. Unbelievable.

For some reason, I haven't been able to get the song "That's Just What You Are" by Aimee Mann out of my head today. I literally woke up and started singing it in my head.

Everclear - Wonderful

I heard this song on the radio today for the first time in forever. Reminds me so much of when my parents divorced when I was a kid, and I was caught in the middle.

My parents divorced when I was 6 or 7. My parents fought alot, and my mother ended up having an affair with my dad's best friend. When I found out, I felt as though she chose a new life and didn't care about me anymore. Of course, that wasn't true... but to a little kid, what else can you think?

Anyway, my parents went through a nasty divorce and a nasty custody battle. My mom re-married, and my dad started dating my mom's best friend (apparently, to get back at my mom) and then he married her. I ended up living with my dad and stepmom -- not exactly the most mentally healthy living environment. They treated me and my sisters like [!@#$%^&*], and my stepbrothers were vile, pathetic excuses for human beings. They constantly told me and my sisters how our mother didn't love us, called her a whore on a regular basis... I hated it. I remember just constantly praying that one day I would wake up and my parents would be back together, we could be a happy family and everything could be normal again... just like all the other kids in school.

Now that I'm older, I'm able to look back on it and actually be thankful for going through it. It gave me a thicker skin, it made me and my sisters incredibly close (they're my rocks) and it certainly gave me life experience. I recently called my father up and had a heart-to-heart with him about the things he and my stepmother did when I was a kid, and it was very therapeutic -- so many things I needed to say. I also had a heart-to-heart with my mom, in which I forgave her for the affair and let her know that she means more to me than anyone imaginable. The day you realize that your parents are humans too, it's amazing what kind of peace you can make by finding the common bond of imperfection.

Anyway, hearing the song I posted above just brought back all these feelings...
