The next episode of “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart” features a sit-down conversation with Emmy Award-winning costume designer Jeresa Featherstone (“Beyond the Gates,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”).
In an exclusive clip ahead of the episode’s release on Tuesday, December 16, Featherstone discusses how she began working on “Beyond the Gates” from pre-production through casting and finally having cast members to dress, and how she pulled off the Herculean task of costuming a whole new daytime drama.

Launched in July, “Soapy” is a podcast series hosted by “The Bold and the Beautiful” star Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes) and “Days of our Lives” star Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark), two real-life friends who have lively, nostalgic conversations with beloved stars from the past and present as well as the creative minds from across the entire soap opera community, including all networks, platforms, and dayparts (daytime and primetime) as it takes a deep dive into the legacy, fandom and enduring appeal of the genre.
After a successful 13-episode first season, the podcast returned for season two in late October and has featured several popular voices from the world of daytime drama past and present, including AnnaLynne McCord (“Days of our Lives”), Lisa Yamada and Christian Weissmann (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) Renee Elise Goldsberry (“Hamilton,” “One Life to Live”), Suzanne Rogers (“Days of our Lives”), Kelly Ripa (“Live with Kelly and Mark,” “All My Children”), Mark Teschner (“General Hospital”) and John McCook (“The Bold and the Beautiful”).
