I Know! Writing out a character like that, Leaving Us with That HUGE Doubt, that was cruel! And her Returning on a Beyond Salem would be Nice, They seem to have far more Budget than DOOL Itself! I Would love to see Greta anyway BUT A Budgeted Kingdom just wouldn't work to me lol

I always thought Julianne Morris was absolutely gorgeous, but Greta was pretty dull.  It's just unfair to not finish her story.  She spent her entire time on the show trying to figure out who her father was and we never found out.  IIRC, I think Greta found out and told John it wasn't him before she left, but I could be wrong.  I can't blame her for ditching Salem to rule a fictional kingdom though.

I....don't even understand Ciara's thinking with that cover.  She's at least 20 years younger than Greta lol.  JM showing up would have made Ciara/Ben look like idiots, but I do remember thinking she was going to show up as well.

YES! She was a Nice Girl, My recent looking around showed a number of People Preferred her with Eric over Nicole (their Young Love was really sweet), If she was Back They could pair her with Eric Again, Finally give him a stable relationship for a change, It really is beyond me why they made those crazy storylines of Gina Coming Back through Hope a Dozen Times though the years and Never Tought about Bringing Greta Back for A Visit, Maybe for the 50th Anniversary! I think she still acted at the time, She Had Made an Appearence on Y&R as Amy Wilson in November 2014

I liked Greta with Eric, but I have never been a huge fan of Eric/Nicole.  I liked Greta with Austin too.  The show just seemed to lose interest in JM/Greta.  She was annoyingly everywhere in the beginning of her run, but then she just got really C stories at the end (Garden of Eden, Jack pretending to be gay, really chaste romances that went nowhere, etc).  Someone posted a picture of Julianne Morris with KA or someone days related recently and she still looks okay (she's clearly had some work done).  Anyhow, I don't think she's actively pursuing acting, but I am sure she would make a guest appearance on Days.  She's not anywhere near the top of my list of people to bring back to Days, but I wouldn't be against it.

THAT is how I always thought JM played it in her last scene, and I've always held onto it. Perhaps she just wanted to spare him some pain while allowing herself to process her feelings over it all. But I don't remember what would be going on with John and Marlena to believe that.

But yes, I would love to see Greta again. And Nicole COULD use a rival again with some history behind such a rivalry.

I have not watched that scene since it first aired, but I remember JM did play it like she could have been lying to spare John.  Or at least leaving the door open for her to return and reveal it was John.  I want to say John/Marlena were knee deep in the Brady being evil stuff and Zack still being John's baby so they weren't on great ground.  I just don't think John/Marlena would struggle that much with Greta being John's.  She was a grown woman, it was before J/M met, and they knew it was a possibility.  IDK, maybe the show wanted to leave the option out there in the universe, but wanted to put a pin in it for the moment.

Greta would be a good Nicole rival and great for Eric at this point.

Same. I want to say the direction of the scene probably didn't help either. lol. But I could see Greta doing that...moreso given what you said as far as what John/Marlena was going through with Brady. She might have thought it best, worrying that since Brady was making Marlena's life h#ll that Marlena might resent her presence too. I'm sure Marlena would not have, but Greta would be that selfless anyway.

And thank you to you and Joseph. I remember Greta and Austin, but I couldn't remember for sure if Greta and Eric was going on, too. It's been so long. So yay!!! She could totally come back and still mix it up with people on canvas like Nicole. The history is there.

Yeah, I mean even with not going by Julianne Morris's real age Greta would be in her mid-40s at the very least. I'm not sure why they didn't go with Ciara pretending to be her daughter - they could've always used it as a way to established that Greta had gotten married and had children, giving her a bit of a happy off-screen send-off.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
