    Yeah, I just didn't know "the feel" of the Daytime Emmy's as it has been a long while for me. The Daytime Emmy's used to be a Superbowl event for me back in the day, lol! My girl Cynthia won back in 1998, and after that, I didn't pay as much attention to the Daytime Emmys. Then, it was a drastic change 16 years later when I watched Eileen win. 

    I was curious because I expect other award shows (e.g., Golden Globes, Primetime Emmys, Oscars) to get political, but wasn't sure about the Daytime Emmy's. I would say tonight would definitely be the night.

    The Daytime Emmys lost their pop culture relevance once Susan Lucci's streak was over. Remember that her win was the only time that a Daytime Emmy win got a People cover story.

    That was the last telecast with substantial Nielsen ratings too. After Lucci win viewers tuned out.
