Anyhow, I do think that acting worked better as Annie.  I am not a GL watcher by any means, but it did come on at a very weird time in my area during that period and I did watch that story.  I thought CW was great.

The problem is probably Nina more than CW, but I have never liked her portrayal.   Idk, there are a lot of middle aged blonde woman on the show that fill the same role on the canvas pretty much.  I can't seem to care about any of Nina's stories and her screeching about Sonny/Wiley/Carly.

I don't care about Nina either, lol. I do like CW and I think she gives a thankless, confused role her best and has chemistry with MB - she's much more tolerable than Michelle Stafford. But I'd still play out her storyline and write her out without hesitation.

Yeah, she's decent with MB.  Nothing special, but there is chemistry.  Funny, I thought Stafford had much better chemistry with Ingo though.  Obviously, neither here nor there now, but her pairing with Jax fell really flat.  I think MS was pretty good with Valentin too, but most of the time I forget that character exists completely until he shows back up on my screen lol.  Come to think of it, Nina's had quite a few love interests.

Lol.  I don't mind MS as much as most people do.

Agree that Valentin is the lamest Cassadine ever.  Remember when other characters were talking about how awful and evil he was?  Is he going to murder people with his piano playing and love songs?

Haha!  JPS can obviously play a good villian, Valentin just gets the most bizarre writing on this show.  I know we need acts for the Nurse's Ball, but c'mon.   There's a point where it doesn't work.  Helena wouldn't jump into show tunes lol.

Obviously Valentin could disappear forever and I wouldn't notice, so I don't care that much.  This show has so many extraneous characters.  Half the cast could honestly go.

Valentin is pure cringe for me. I understand JPS played a great character on AMC 30 years ago and is a very talented actor in other things since. I just don't care. He should be gone tomorrow. Along with, yes, half the cast.

So many characters to get rid of.  I don't think Valentin is at the top of my list, but in my top 10 lol.  I like Sasha, but I don't even understand why her and Brando exist.  Meanwhile, we have so many historic characters that need to be back instead of RH and ME playing random new characters.  I just don't get it.  FV is apparently good at streamlining the budget, so why don't they cut some of the massive cast?

That awkward Smoltz guy would be a decent Spinelli recast if needed.

Not sure about revenge porn laws, but if Joss & Cam say Trina didn't do it and didn't press charges, does the case need to be procecuted? It's not like a murder where it's the state vs the suspect, and the victims aren't minors.

Would you prefer he played Elton John?

I love the actor who plays Spencer.  I started a Nichola Alexander Chavez thread at another soap forum but the mod deleted it for no reason.  She deleted most of the threads I posted on the GH and Y&R boards.  She does that to a lot of the members.  I don't know why people still go to that website.  It sucks balls.

    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.
    • For any other soap, I think I’d agree, but GH, I don’t know

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
    • Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol
    • Does the vault have the original scene and not the short flashback?
    • I appreciate that you are using AI with the knowledge of it's limitations. Some posters take everything it produces as fact.
    • And of course Mama Ru herself appeared on All My Children.
    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
