I assume he simply means that he's completed his current arc and will now enjoy his down time vacationing. I don't think he's "fired". They will probably call him back for his next arc. I think "Scotty's run is done" means the current story arc. I think he's tweeting to thank his fans. I don't know the man, but that's what it seems like to me. Fyi, he's done this in the past when an arc was done - he tweeted in such a way that caused some readers to assume he'd been let go. He later deleted those tweets. I hate to use the words "legacy character," but Scott is exactly that for GH. He should have a regular, steady presence on the canvas. Period.
