My favorite sports to watch in the Olympics are gymnastics and swimming. The Swimming races can be very exciting like the 400m Freestyle tonight. That was a good race between Katie Ledecky and Ariarne Titmus. Titmus did a good job of keeping pace with Katie Ledecky and pulled away at just the right time to get the win. And lol at her coach. He was a doing lot in this celebration lol:

I like the diving competitions too. I've always thought that the announcers do a really good job of calling the competition/analyzing the dives.  I think that the first week of the Olympics is usually the best week, with a lot of the swimming, gymnastic and dining events. The second week of Olympic sports isn't as good IMO.

Barf...he goes on and on but it's all about him

British diver Tom Daley won the first gold medal of his Olympic diving career on Monday.

Daley and partner Matty Lee won gold in the men's synchronized 10-meter platform event to beat the Chinese team of Cao Yuan and Chen Aisen by 1.23 points.

Daley, 27, revealed publicly in 2013 that he was gay after winning a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. On Monday after he and Lee won gold, Daley said that he would feel alone and different when he was diving as a kid — and that their win in the 10-meter platform showed that LGBTQ kids could achieve anything.

"I hope that any young LGBT person out there can see that no matter how alone you feel right now you are not alone and that you can achieve anything and there is a whole lot of your chosen family out here ready to support you," Daley said in his news conference. "And I think it’s one of those things that I feel incredibly proud that I am a gay man and also an Olympic champion … I feel very empowered by that.

"When I was younger, I thought I was never going to be anything or achieve anything because of who I was. And to be an Olympic champion now shows that you can achieve anything."

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics features over 50 athletes who have said they are LGBTQ.

"There are more openly out LGBT athletes at this Olympic games than any other Olympic games previously," Daley said.

Daley said that he would lay in bed as a child and dream of one day winning a gold medal at the Olympics. He said the final dive he and Lee made — a 4.5-somersault with a pike — was executed just as he had visualized it for decades.

"To see us become Olympic champions, I still cannot actually believe that it's just happened. It's been a dream of mine for so many years and I am extremely

I am loving the Olympics thus far. I know the time difference is tough (but that didn't stop me from enjoying the Winter Olympics in South Korea either).

Did you see those 13 year old girls doing the Olympic skateboarding? Crazy.

Right now its the women's team event in gymnastics. Simone Biles is the GOAT, but the US team as a whole is looking nervous and shaky. Biles looks like her right foot is wrapped, too.

ETA: OK. There is a big shock with this gymnastics event but I don't want to spoil it here to anyone  who will be watching later -- I know its early in the US.

    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
