Just a week after Neal Adams death. George Pérez dies of pancreatic cancer. I love his artwork. One of my favorite pieces was a pin up of Teen Titans and Teen Titans West. Which appeared in The New Teen Titans #47 Sept,1988. Which was commissioned because the issue was a page short. In those pre internet days. I had no idea who many of those obscure characters were. Until i tracked down that mid 70's run. #RIP

I can't imagine my comics experience without reading George's  work on Teen Titans and  in Crisis. Supergirl's death in particular is  superbly  drawn and cuts right to the bone, then and now.

Awwww..Mickey...this song was my favorite of his and brings memories of 5th grade😊

I'm always amazed by the fact that Mickey Gilley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart were cousins and played piano together as children.

RIP Mr. Gilley.
