Members robbwolff
That’s not possible. Santa Barbara is listed and it went off the air in January 1993.
Members GLATWT88
You're absolutely right. I just checked and the HH point decreased from 1990/91 season to the 1991/2 season. The fact that no year was listed and I knew off the top of my head that a HH point in 91/92 was equal to 921,000, I thought this was for 93 and looked up the value and it matched. It's unusual that the value goes down, but I should have confirmed. 1990/91 a HH point equals 931,000 1991/92 a HH point equals 921,000 1992/1993 a HH point equals 931,000 Edited May 28, 2020 by GLATWT88
Members EricMontreal22
By 1992, when I started paying attention to the soap ratings, AMC was pretty consistently number 2--I believe this stayed until 95 or so.
Members Soapsuds
Yup, ATWT had the #2 spot for most of 1991 until January 1992 when AMC took second. ATWT was #3 for most of 1992. From January 1994 Please register in order to view this content
Members OzFrog
I find it really fascinating that B&B was hitting Top 5 for overall households as early as 1990 (and this was all pre-Sheila as that was still unfolding on Y&R). That time would have been Caroline’s death, Brooke and Eric’s wedding, and a few others that I’ve probably missed. That’s an amazing achievement for CBS and Bill Bell.
Members kalbir
By 1990, B&B had more affiliate clearance than it did from 1987-1989 so I would imagine the Y&R viewers carried over. Plus by 1990, Bill Bell figured out which characters were working and which weren't, ie. the Spectra gang became prominent while the Logan family was phased out.

Members kalbir
@Soapsuds Thanks for posting these 1990s rankings. We'll get to see how much the ratings dropped due to OJ and how close James Reilly's sci-fi Days came to Y&R during summer 1997.
Members GLATWT88
Those are amazing demos for AMC. BB really took off.

Members Soapsuds
Your welcome! Are you sure it's not from 95 or 96? Are you referring to Marlena being possessed? ratings from 1990 Please register in order to view this content
Members OzFrog
The climax of the whole storyline came during summer 1997 (Susan Banks, the secret room, etc). So one would expect DAYS ratings to have peaked during this period if they sustained everyone from Aremid, Paris, etc.
Members Soapsuds
This is how close Days got to Y&R in 97. It isn't the highest HH number Days got in 97. That happened in January where Days was #2 with a 6.6 HH and YR was #1 with an 8.0 Please register in order to view this content
Members OzFrog
*sigh* AMC should still be on air. It certainly held its own with the others in the Top 5 (which incidentally are still on air today). Actually on a related note, was it also the 90s where B&B well and truly snatched #2 from DAYS?
