Y&R: Casting New Male Role

This guy is a recast Nate or a unconnected love interest for Anna. I knew Fen and Anna wasn't gonna happen no surprises there.

BD isn't that bad. Just suffered from poor writing and zero direction. Nate was brought on as Hilary's next big love but that was thwarted. Had she stayed around, Nate would have been a far more successful character.

Alan Sharpa, who always gives reliable information on Twitter long before it becomes public, posted that the person who plays Nate has been let go.  But YR continues being offensive af.  Just trade one black male for another.  Viewers won't notice.

Alan doesn't know anything. He saw Jillian from DC post that and ran with it.

This is the “celebrity”, Mark Taylor of Disney Channel’s 17 Again fame, Loren Lott was gushing about a few weeks ago. No clue if he’s playing the role they were casting for. Anyway they’d make a gorgeous couple but he’s a little too old for her. But these are soaps so they’re both anywhere between the ages of 25 and 40.

Y&R hired her just for her to sit on the sidelines while everyone else paired up. They should be ashamed of themselves.

He has been shown a little this past week as a new detective that was put on Lola's case. I don't know how much longer he might be shown/be around. He might just be around a little bit for this case regarding Lola. Or maybe he will be a recurring character that shows up here and there and interacts mostly with Rey.

Oh, thanks I had no idea! I thought since she just posted it he was about to air.

The majority male writing staff at daytime soaps like Y&R love to pair up young women with older men for sex and relationships, it is their literary wet dream.

Not that I necessarily want another man panting after Victoria, but it seemed they were at least testing the waters for a Nate/Victoria hookup. Shoot, bring him to Salem as Abe's nephew Benjamin.

Yes, Y&R finally got the token black female the audience would allow them to treat as a token by fans not screaming for her to get more that what they are willing to give. They'll never allow Loren or her Ana to become a fan favorite to ensure they can keep her sidelined.
