Fresh from spending months ranting about Biden being too old, Astead Herndon has returned to a) whine about Obama 'lecturing' men of color re: their vote, b) get co-signed by Nina Turner, and c) do this:

Was there any joke at all in Trump's reminiscences about the time someone told him that Arnold Palmer had a large penis? Or do these publications just giggle hearing about it?

Also don't get me started about the number of posts I have seen with people tittering about how they can never drink an Arnold Palmer again.

I've heard other people say the same about Obama's comments (it's not really my place to judge the merits of the argument) but rarely in such an offputting way. He seems very petulant, online and in his TV appearances, and I notice as in the video above and the video I'm sharing he seems to rush to turn everything back to GOP-friendly talking points about how well Trump is doing on policy and the economy. This tweet is especially irritating because he very defensively responds to everyone who have pointed out how little he cares about Trump's age by...posing a clip where he does not mention Trump's age.

I'm sure the Times will grudgingly correct the record shortly, but it's still tiresome to see them print this stuff unquestionably over and over the first time.

"We" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. The reality is that the media (and especially Politico) long ago created and embraced the framing of 'it only matters if his base cares' when reporting on Trump.

This is only the OP, but Nate Cohn loses his shít here on Adam Carlson in a long thread that is likely to be deleted, then walks it back and apologizes. The Times and especially many polling people really get angry when anyone suggests Biden might not have lost all those votes.

Truly not trying to be thick-headed here, @Vee, but do you mean Harris, not Biden, or is it more of the 2020 connection?

So many opposing analyses, polls, and takes just have my head spinning, and I'm not making heads or tails out of anything here.

Nate Cohn was incredibly thin-skinned in 2022, but even then, he was never this hostile. I think he and that whole polling guru set are unable to shake just how much respect they've lost over the last 4 years.

I mean Biden. The conversation they're having moves from Harris' current totals (where she's not losing as much of the Black/Latino vote as once speculated) to months-old predictions that Joe would lose a lot as well. Cohn gets very angry when Carlson suggests predictions of Trump's major minority support have been a mirage all along.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the breakdown of this whole thing.

The Internet being the Internet, some people are tying the E. Coli outbreak into Trump’s recent stunt at McDonald’s, especially since some people noted that he didn’t appear to be any sanitary precautions prior to food handling. The Internet conspiracy theories give and the Internet conspiracy theories take. This time it’s giving.
