Yes. Especially when I was a kid 😉

One of the best things to stream on Peacock, along with Days 👍😂😂😂

And it’s been nice to see how wrestling evolved through the years

I've finally taken the long awaited plunge the past couple weeks and have just finished season 1 of The Americans. On to season 2 ...

Was there ever a thread for the show here?

Fun coincidence.

THE ORIGINALS SEASON 4 (last season with the showrunner)

SUPERGIRL SEASON 4 (yes, still going and it's coming off better this time. I'm shocked. lol)

BEING HUMAN US SEASON 4 (like me and MERLIN, after a decade, finally watching the final season for the first time)

I watched season one of The Crown today... visually, it's stunning and well-shot... but it is also boring as ever-loving fück. I don't get the hype. Won't be returning.

Awww. A slow burn for sure, but I didn't mind Season 1. You do remind me that I need to loop back to Season 2. But I am a sucker for history so I do like period pieces.

It just... did not grab me in the way I thought it would, which was disappointing. I should have stuck to re-watching Greenleaf instead, lmao.

Sorry to hear that. Because between that, Morbius, and House of the Dragon (which I will start eventually), it made me take notice of Matt Smith as a dramatic actor even when I want to shake him for feeling so threatened by his own wife.

Oh, I found the acting to be superb. But the overall writing and pacing just... wasn't for me. This is the second Netflix original I wasn't into. The first was House of Lies (barely got to ten minutes of that one).

Any other recommendations to potentially check into it? I am more of a drama guy.

Well, I've always enjoyed BEING HUMAN...one of the few American versions of a British show that is just as good as the original show. :)

Oh, what's it about?????? I'm always cautious of British-to-American adaptations. Although, they did well with Queer as Folk.

Oh, I know very well. For every British-to-American adaptation that either does just as good (and rarely better) as the first version of the show, there is a graveyard full of those that do not.

The basic plot...a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost live together as roommates and just try to live their lives. Naturally it's complicated. If I remember correctly, outside of the pilots, both Brit and American shows go off in their own (interesting) directions. 10 years old as of this year. The acting is good, the banter among them is great, and the writing and plot twists have been great. And...hotties. lol. I'm sure you will recognize some of the actors/actresses if you watch any genre shows. It has its funny moments, but I would say it leans drama than comedy, and still runs deep about what it means to be...well...human.

Sounds interesting; I may have to check both adaptations out. Looking at both casts, the one name out of any of them I recognize immediately is Russell Tovey (Looking). But I will definitely look into it. I appreciate your recommendation.
