Y&R: May Sweep Spoilers

I'm hoping Arturo's younger sister comes to town and interacts with Kyle and possibly frees him from giving Tessa/Mariah angst.  I don't care to see him being used in that way, like they ended up using Noah for them. Maybe Arturo's sister who is supposed to be in her 20's will share scenes with Kyle and they will have chemistry.

And I also wonder (though I am not sure how likely this is), if Tessa actually turns Kyle down. There is a spoiler that mentioned that Kyle will be getting his personal life underway in Genoa City. Maybe he will be trying to just date in general and will end up asking out more than one woman.

I also wonder how Kyle ends up embarrassing himself in front of Neil. Maybe he accuses of Neil of not really helping Jack, and Neil sets him straight. Or I wonder if this spoiler is about something else.

Maybe Kyle's just looking for a fag hag?  (A boy can dream, can't he?)

At this point, the only person I'd trust Jabot with would be whoever cleans the offices at night.  Otis is doing a helluva job.

They really haven't been doing anything with her lately. Maybe they will try and start to use her again. It would be something if she actually did have chemistry with Kyle. I think that the actor has done a nice job in his scenes with Hilary/Mariah. He had chemistry with both ladies and he was putting forth an effort to spark with them. Maybe he will do the same thing with Tessa, and they might actually have chemistry.  Maybe she might also turn him down, even if they do have chemistry.

I had thought they might try something with Kyle and Mariah, (if they weren't going to try him and Hilary, who looks like she will be getting back with Devon) But I guess they are going to use Mariah mentioning that he didn't like her as a way to bypass her and let him make a play for Tessa.

Here's a few more spoilers from a day ahead recap from soaps.com (reworded):

Kyle is going to introduce himself to Tessa at Hamilton-Winters. Mariah is going to show up and ask Tessa to go get food and drinks. Kyle is going to invite himself along and the girls are going to agree to let him come with them. Hilary is then going to call Mariah away and Kyle is going to ask Tessa if she still wants to get something to eat without Mariah. Tessa is going to tell him no.

I would be happy if that is the end of Kyle asking Tessa for a date, lol. But maybe he will keep trying to ask her out, until he realizes she really isn't interested in him and/or Summer shows up. Or even Arturo's younger sister who is coming to town and who might also mix it up with Kyle.

You mean Cassiah! They’ve done CG a disservice by not writing Mariah based on her very damaged backstory.

I like that she bonded with Sharon - because CG/SC are good screenpartners, but Mariah should be far more treacherous. She should’ve been backstabbing Hilary on GC Buzz, etc. Perhaps Summer’s return will shake up the character - maybe steal Kyle away through some trickery.

    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
