I'm curious to know who/what/why he's being forced to poison Steve.

 

I lol when Drake does an evil stare or glare. It's cute.

This just me being far out there, but I was hoping it Was Marina Toscano back from the dead poisoning Steve. 

Is John under mind control? is Steve in on the sceme? there's an explanation here...maybe Sami has been kidnapped and the people holding her are forcing John to kill Steve because Steve is a threat to their plans.

You know, I'm all for doppelgangers. Not gonna lie, it's a classic cheesy soap twist that can be a good hit or a terrible miss. It's just a lil too soon after the double doppels last Fall, and it affects the same couple (John/Marlena). 

Doppelgängers are so lazy, especially when you keep going back to that well multiple times like Carlivati or Y&R in the past decade. It’s a crutch, and it’s boring.

I don't think it's a doppelganger. I think it is John who is poisoning Steve.
