Wow. They’re going to lose so much money.   The first movie made over 800 million worldwide.  I’m going to have to avoid spoilers for a long time

because I want to see it in the theatres.

Makes sense though cause of Covid  not many theaters are open

They could've easily pushed it back to June, which was the original release month.   It's a huge gamble to get HBO Max subscribers though. 

There were possibly fears it would leak and get pirated if they waited too long. Given the way things are going, even a summer release probably wouldn’t have been as successful as they would hope.

 

is HBO Max charging a premium fee for it like what Disney+ did with Mulan?

That said...I am not sure how I feel about this since my theater is closed down, but I might have HBO Max then. Maybe. But I really wanted to see that in the theater as well.

Can't believe that it comes out next Friday.
