Jacobs was also planning Knots around this time. Constance McCashin (who had a role on this series) said Jacobs offered her the role of Laura at Christmas 1978. At one time there was a photo on the net of Lorimar shows circa 1979 and it had the casts of The Walton's, Dallas, Eight Is Enough and Married The First Year all standing together in a large group shot. Leigh McCloskey also did the short lived primetime soap Executive Suite 1976-1977. No episode of that show have ever surfaced, but I did find 2 promos for it. Karlene Crockett who played Muriel also appeared with Charlene Tilton in the 1979 TV film " Diary Of A Teenage Hitchhiker". However it still beat NBC's notorious bomb Supertrain, which had a 19 share. So it was doomed from the start. Eight Is Enough dominated the timeslot.
