Members Khan
Yeah, the DALLAS coverage was pretty huge, but Sean and Madonna? Now THAT was a soap opera, lol! And, of course, we all knew who Oprah's "Secret Guy" was. (Hi, Gayle!) Edited March 10, 2022 by Khan

Members Khan
It's weird seeing the Paramount TV logo at the end of the credits. Isn't DALLAS owned by Warner Bros. today? Also, I've always wondered whether Production Coordinator Andy Ackerman is the same Andy Ackerman who directed episodes of "Cheers," "Seinfeld" and other sitcoms. Members BetterForgotten
I think this was a mock from the YouTube description of the video. I know WB acquired Lorimar in 1989, so their entire library has been owned by WB since then. Not sure if another studio/company held the distribution or syndication rights to the Lorimar library before the WB acquisition though.
Members SFK
Broderick is correct. David Jacobs wanted Bobby to be even more like Brick, a flawed, tortured, fading golden boy, but he was met with resistance and Bobby became more of a Prince Charming.
Members Khan
I'm not sure Patrick Duffy could have played Bobby like Brick.
Members Soapsuds
I was watching a 1980 episode of Dallas and noticed Leah Marcus was a writer at the time. That was during Dallas heyday. I wonder when she left because she returns in 1986 after the dream season and the writers from the previous season were fired. Although I didn't think the script writing from the dream season wasn't that bad.
Members Khan
The writing from the "dream season" wasn't bad, but from the viewpoint of people like Leonard Katzman and Larry Hagman, it wasn't DALLAS. They saw DALLAS as strictly a male-driven show, and that just wasn't the kind of work that Peter Dunne and Joel Feigenbaum were strong in or known for.

Members Khan
Oh, wow! Thanks, @irishguy1985! Also of note: Chuck Ranberg and Anne Flett-Giordano, who worked for years on "Kate & Allie" and "Frasier," started out as production secretaries at Lorimar, working on DALLAS and KL. I've always wanted to ask AFG, whom I follow on Twitter, and who follows me back, about their time there, but I'm much too chicken about doing so, lol.

Members Khan
In retrospect, Kristin is a terribly weak choice for the culprit in J.R.'s shooting.
