she was always hysterical from what I remember from her on the show! though I also remember that sweet guest spot she did years ago on Lizzie McGuire playing Gordo's Jewish, but hip grandmother...

I first remember her from Soap...Flo Flotsky, and as Angie's mother on Angie.   As great as she was as a comedienne, her Emmy for St. Elsewhere as Cora was so deserved. She and James Coco were a force.

One of my favorite episodes of Raymond was when she had Amy, the Italian woman that moved to the US for Robert, and Sherry Shepherd as his partner, and they all talked smack about Robert.

 

She will be missed! RIP Ms. Roberts.

She kept working until recent years. She always had such a warm smile. As I couldn't stand ELR I am not going to remember her from that. I too remember her most from Angie, St. Elsewhere, TV movies, etc. She was a great example of the power of character actors, and the power of not destroying your face and body for fleeting attempts at stardom. A real loss.

Same…hated ELR…and I remember her from Angie. I know Angie is suppose to be released soon on DVD. Cant wait to get it.
