Apparently, it was Alison Sweeney who pushed for the EJ angle when she agreed to come back for Will's death.

Talk about tacky.

TWO THINGS:

1) Reading GW's interview in the same issue...well...uh...it does sound like what others are suspecting. And he tried to get answers to why kill Will? or to paraphrase his words, they wanted to focus on working on what worked for DAYS in the past.

So that has started to color how I feel about it.

2) I want to believe EJ is alive and this is not a trick. Keep in mind there is a clip of Andre trying to kidnap Sami in the Days 50th promo of what's coming. So I hope it is not a trick. THat said...AS said in the interviews she will be making at least two extended appearances. So this may start with Sami searching for EJ. And the next visit might show if he is alive or not. So I doubt he will appear this time around. But her next time...(probably next month)...

So basically, Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

(well, not Eve either, given how quick they were to dump KDP)

I guess at least they were honest - fear the queers time, as we've seen again and again on soaps.

A lot of people lap that stuff up, and the show can get away with brutally murdering a gay character because most people will just blame Guy Wilson, so I guess they really lucked out with this.

Good for them. I'm sure we'll get plenty of awesome couples like the glory days of Chad and Mia and Melanie and Philip. I can't wait.

But they have the parts that fit! They're what WORKS for this show, don't you know?

That was just the vibe GW gave off from the interview.  He seem sad and a bit bitter...or more confused about the firing if anything. JMHO.

I think it's backed up by what is onscreen. If the feel of the show was different I'd put less notice into his words.
