Blood Sweat and Heels

I think she is in remission because they found no cancer cells with her last pet scan. However, she has to take chemo pills every day, and she ran out. She calls the pharmacy and they will deliver them to Demetria's party because Daisy has to go and support her friend. Daisy cannot miss one day of taking her meds, so she risks it to go to a party? It was probably scripted, but she just looked like an idiot.

And yes, the women gather each week just to smooth out their differences as they cause more problems for themselves and one another. Its awful! Mica keeps me watching.

I admit that I like the bonding the girls did this week. And who knew Chantelle would strip down to her thong during that 'truth or dare' game.

However, it looks like some showdowns are coming next week.

I love Chantelle too. I thought I wouldn't like her, but she won me over the night she stood up to Gonzo & Melyssa when they were making fun of Geneva being arrested. She strengthened my love when she went toe to toe with Greg (Demetria's fiancé).

I'm not liking Melyssa this season. I still can't stand Demetria. And Arzohole is basic and I find some of her shade [to Chantelle] to be undercover racists. She gives me vibes of a white woman that dates black men but hates black women.

Back when Geneva and Demetria clashed early in the first season, Geneva implied that Demetria's sh|t wasn't quite so rosy and the rumor was that Greg dipped out on her throughout their relationship and even tried to pick up some random while they were either on vacation or at one of her events. I say rumor because it hasn't been confirmed (nor has the other rumor that Geneva alluded to about Demetria stalking her last boyfriend [prior to Greg] and attempting to ruin the professional reputation of the woman that he'd left her for [i believe they're either engaged or married now] since Geneva/the woman/Demetria are in the same industry).

I noted this because of Greg's overreaction to Geneva, as well as Demetria's instant forgiveness of Geneva back in season 1 (as opposed to Daisy and Mica, who she kept at arm's length).

So...I see we are seeing the start of what probably cause the Geneva and Melyssa fight where she gets cut. Very shady on Melyssa's part in my opinion.

As for the episode...I liked the first dress.

And that fight...was wow.

Melyssa gets on my damn nerves this season. Like I just don't like her. I also found her to be a sh-tty hostess. How dare she leave her guests to go see Demetria do a photo shoot. That was just rude.

And I think that Melyssa fears Demetria hence why she kisses her ass.

I am glad that Mica/Daisy are over Melyssa. I prefer it be Mica/Daisy/Chantelle/Geneva.

Chantelle gathered Demetria and I enjoyed. Finally, someone other than Mica that isn't afraid to put Demetria in check.

Gonzo Arzo still remains to be a bore. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I don't enjoy her bigoted ass.

    • About the only thing that could really get me interested in this show right now would be a "Who Killed Victor?" storyline IF he stayed dead. The writing for him is atrocious! And the lineup of possible suspects would be most of the canvas. Months worth of great story if done well.....of course...not getting done with Griffith.
    • I really hope you’re wrong. Dani Desperate Dupree being right will make her even more insufferable than she’s already been.
    • I know this board has very strong opinions about Scheffer's reign which run the gamut from brilliant to the nadir of the series.  I'm one of the fans. 2001 - 2005 are, imo, the second best years for the series. The first being Marland.  As The World Turns won Daytime Emmy Awards for Best Drama Series in '87 and '91. However, it wasn't until Scheffer came along that it won again...in '01 and '03. Plus it won for Best Writing Team in '01, '02, '04, and '05, an award it had never managed to win before and didn't again. When Scheffer left and Passanante was the main head writer (along with various other co-head writers) the show began to seriously tank. However, it wasn't just the writing. The budget was gone. The sets were made to be smaller or destroyed. There was all that weird hand held camera directing for a while. Scenes that were obviously shot in the hallway where the series was filmed. I think '06 - '10 is a roller coaster. There are some storylines I really enjoyed and some that were eye-rolling. Looking in the rearview mirror though, I can see that the actors, writers, directors, and crew were working their best with what money they had.
    • They are idiots! It seems crazy that Leslie is inserting herself so much into this investigation but everybody is falling into her traps. I find it to be an interesting back and forth and I'm still not completely sure who will win. I have a theory but I'm going to wait for more to develop before I say more. I feel like Haley has been more on the sidelines so I'm enjoying this new desperate streak she appears to be developing. I'm curious how it'll manifest overtime. I also agree with Dani that I am not convinced she's pregnant. I think she's trying to get pregnant but really just see's herself fading into the background and wants attention and validation from Dani and her family.
    • Thanks for sharing; the set, wow. Ten times better than the "penthouse" she lives in now (is that a surprise, though?).
    • I'd be happy to!

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.
