Octavia Spencer walks out to "Love You I Do" from Dreamgirls to introduce John Legend and Common. Now you're trying too hard Academy.

LMAO. I KNEW they would have John and Idina together after I heard he would present tonight. Idina wasn't even on any list either.

Best part of the night.

I enjoyed it too. It was a trainwreck I couldn't look away from.

"Glory" wins right after that powerhouse performance and standing ovation? Is that a coincidence? Beautiful speech nonetheless.

It's about damn time something was funny. We only had to wait, what, eighteen hours for it to happen? And I'll even forgive the fact that it was basically a retread on a stupid blunder that was old about five seconds after it originally happened.

I doubt it was a coincidence TBH. They really are trying too hard, but the message and the song are beautiful so I won't knock them for rewarding it, however, after all the ... obviousness of tonight, I can't help but figure they sort of "had" to give them that award.

I'll be honest: I was hoping "Glory" wouldn't win if only to see the Internet broken over the debates and the furor the snub likely would have incurred.

Academy Awards show producers clasp their hands in prayer, on their knees as they say repeatedly...

"Please don't let the ratings drop from last year, please don't let the ratings go down from last year..." over and over.

You know if American Sniper wins, Morgan Freeman will be presenting the award, right?

So is Lady Gaga going to come out of NPH's locked briefcase?

There's no way this show is ending right at 11:30. How?

no it won't...id say midnight or a little past midnight

Lady Gaga singing "The Sound of Music". Now I have seen and heard it all.

And yes, I am aware of the fact that perhaps the whitest movie musical ever gets a shout out at the Oscars in a year when everyone is trying to be racially diverse. Make of THAT what you will.

Um, why the [!@#$%^&*] is Lady Gaga here? She sounds amazing but I'm so over her.

I guess her copying Madonna went nowhere fast and now she is someone new Mary Poppins...lol

She does sound amazing but I DON'T GET IT. Why is this film being honored in this way in the first place? Talk about [!@#$%^&*] random.
