CBS'S ENTIRE DAYTIME LINEUP POSTS WEEK-TO-WEEK GROWTH IN VIEWERS AND WOMEN 25-54

CBS's entire daytime lineup registered week-to-week growth in viewers and women 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 30.

Among the daytime dramas, THE YOUNG AND The Restless was up +1% in viewers (4.80m from 4.74m) and +11% in women 25-54 (2.0/12 from 1.8/11), while The Bold AND THE BEAUTIFUL notched a +6% jump in viewers (3.97m from 3.75m) and a +13% spike in women 25-54, leading to a season high (1.7/10 from 1.5/09).

THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2, THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1, THE YOUNG AND The Restless,The Bold AND THE BEAUTIFUL and LET'S MAKE A DEAL 2 were the week's five most-watched daytime programs.

THE YOUNG AND The Restless, The Bold AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 and THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 were the top four daytime programs in women 25-54.

Toups said to expect high ratings this week due to the storm on the NE Coast. The storm wasn't as bad as originally thought, so that might be why Y&R only picked up about what looks to be 56,000 viewers. On the other hand, B&B had a great week, picking up what looks to be over 200,000 viewers- so was it the weather or good story? Don't know about GH or Days- does ABC/NBC even come out with press releases anymore?

I know in CT Days and Y&R weren't on the day of the storm so they could show pictures of dogs and children playing in the snow...in New England...in February...shocking and oh so newsworthy...

Looks like I jinxed the numbers! They are not what I expected with last week's storm. It only gave B&B a big boost.

Great numbers for B&B. Is this the first time B&B is number 1 in 18-34 numbers?? Also very close to being number 1 in 25-54 demo and 18-49 demo. And a 3.1 HH number for Tuesday's episode.

Wasn't this the week Brooke came back?

Not that she's the reason the ratings went up, it just amuses me, given all the hysteria here that she had singlehandedly destroyed the show by returning.

True. It's just that I thought she and she alone killed it for everyone.

I guess it will drop next week and that will be her fault...

There were a few days that lagged but it's mojo isn't gone lol

The ratings went up for B&B, but part of it was the horribly-rated '7000 episode' which brought down the previous week average. Also, for those who are comparing the year-to-year - that was week that Adam/Billy showdown so CBS was incredibly inflated and it carried over to B&B. The fact that B&B is that close to what was a multi-year high is amazing.

You write it well, they will watch lol. Is the show perfect? no, but IMO it's the best soap on the air

Friday, January 30th, 2015: Ridge and Caroline are disappointed when Brooke defends Rick’s actions and instructs them to respect his position of authority.

​The lowest episode of the week. Not surprising…Brooke defending Rick…we all know we hated this episode.
