The NYPD should take an internal look at the way they handle minorities and stop fostering an aggressive, racist culture.

Neither officer was white. One officer was Latino. The other was Asian. This assassination doesn't help African Americans in recruiting Latinos and Asians to their cause against white officers.

It's just as funny as when ONE police officer, or a small percentage, is a bad apple all police officers are held responsible.

In terms of crime and economy, Giuliani is much better. You can google the statistics. Crime rates dramatically dropped and the economy improved under Giuliani. He stopped the exodus to the suburbs. People actually started moving from the suburbs into the city. Also, on social issues, such as abortion and gays, Giuliani was liberal.

Uh.... it's not that simple. The reason profiling occurs is because 7 percent of the population commits 42 percent of the armed robberies and 50 percent of the murders in the country. And this is NOT black women we're talking about. If that figure would drop, the profiling would disappear, simple as that. The police in NY also need to REALLY slow their roll in a massive way, because they are killing people that are doing petty crap. They need to learn to pick their battles and respond with appropriate force for the situation.

Garner died of a heart attack on the way to the hospital, not from the chokehold itself.
