No reason that Lola should be gone. She is the patriarch's daughter for Christ's sake! Ugh!

And Daniels, we get it. We really do! Jamal is gay, but he's not a sissy. He's a total bad ass. He's the mightiest of the mighty. We [!@#$%^&*] get it! Stop with the ridiculous scenes. Facing off with a gunman twice in one season? That is really pushing it. I just wanted him shot!

Lucious reading that British ho gave me everlasting life! Bye stank ass!

This episode went by really fast. I'm almost always surprised when the credits start to roll but this time I felt like we were only halfway through.

Yay on Cookie getting some lovin' from Malcolm. She deserves someone who treasures her. I loved how Cookie was gearing up to put on a show for Malcom when she thought there was a hidden camera. of course, if Lucious had walked in he would've though she was doing it for him.

Another yay for Rhonda. She's so unfazed by Lucious. She looked out not just for her husband but for all of them. I love how she told Cookie that Lucious was stealing from his sons to buy her loyalty. I know a lot of people would disagree with me but Empire is honestly one of the more feminist shows on the air right now. The women drive a good deal of the action and they aren't perfect but they're layered as hell.

And of course Lucious is Lola's father. Ugh. That man is reprehensible. I've no doubt he's got kids all over the country.

I can believe next week is the finale. I demand webisodes at least.

Look at those rating!!! Hallelujah!

"What is this Bi-po-lah dis-or-dah"! TPH is everything!

However, much like the word "sissy", a person her age should have heard about this and know what it is. She's been in prison for God's sake. Half the people incarcerated with her probably had some mental illness. While I understand what they are trying to convey here, it just seems dated.

I agree. About 15 to 18 would be reasonable. But I do agree with him that 22 would kill the show too fast.

This should push FOX into investing in more diverse dramas and comedies. They are out there. FOX just needs to find them and invest like they did in the 90s. Hopefully this time around, they won't ditch us once the ratings are back sky-high

I find it funny how they are using Empire to promote the other shows on their network when I doubt most of Empire's audience is checking for it. There's a reason the ratings are mammoth compared to the rest of the schedule. Empire is serving an audience that hasn't watched network television in years due to lack of representation.

I was shocked to read an article that Empire was the most watched English speaking prime time show in Latino/Hispanic homes. Also shocked that one episode attained a 40.6/76 in AA female demos.

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
