Members Soapsuds
Yes, ATWT hit #3. There are episodes from this period on YouTube.
Members kalbir
Fall 1986 Marland As the World Turns is showing growth. November 7, 1986 was Anthony Herrera return. I think Marland As the World Turns will regularly be in the Top 5 for the rest of 1986 and in 1987, but it's going to be a tough battle w/ All My Children, One Life to Life, supercouple Days in that 3rd-6th tier.

Members kalbir
November 12, 1986 Y&R Ashley tells Victor she ended the pregnancy by him. That scene was chosen by Eileen Davidson as part of the 50th anniversary memorable moments clip set. Y&R #1 half of November. December 5, 1986 Y&R we saw during the classics. Paul finds out he's a centerfold and the start of Ashley emotional breakdown in the aftermath of ending the pregnancy.
Members Soapsuds
Ha! It was a shock when James reappeared. I think it was a well hidden spoiler. The show had a solid 4 weeks with a few at #3. Nice to see the share numbers as well for James return. Three episodes from his return in November were released on DVD. A lot of ATWT episodes from November 1986 is on YouTube. Also on November the mystery with Frannie's double begins which leads to Sabrina. Remote with Seth, Frannie, Bob and Kim in February searching for Sabrina. Edited October 4, 2023 by Soapsuds
Members Gray Bunny
Around 11/10/86... on GL, I believe this was when Reva/Kyle's wedding got interrupted by Maeve, and later Josh returned and appeared to Reva after she got hit by a truck while wandering outside (on location).
Members Mitch64
Another episode I remember watching in real time...only drama queen Reva would wander around in her wedding dress after her aborted wedding, (and finding out that her fiance was such a d*ck that his exwife would have to hide the fact that their baby lived) wandering around the country side (and looking GREAT, Kimmer was a knock out at that time) which, believe it or not, was actually Peapack!
Members kalbir
Question for Days fans, was Deidre Hall doing double duty in Fall 1986 with Days and Our House? NBC smartly kept Deidre Hall in the family so to speak. Edited October 5, 2023 by kalbir
Members Contessa Donatella
Yep. 1986-88 OUR HOUSE. Only part of that time was double duty though. I think 86-87 doing both, then, 87-88 just primetime, then back on DAYS in 1991. Edited October 5, 2023 by Donna L. Members kalbir
So 1987 Days had three big cast departures with Deidre Hall, Peter Reckell, and Kristian Alfonso all moving on to prime time. It will be interesting to see the ratings after their departures. The 1987-1990 portion of supercouple Days were the Steve/Kayla years and their wedding got Days to #1.
Members Franko
With thanks, as always, to JASON47's site ... Friday, Dec. 12, 1986 -- Marlena "dies" when the house explodes. Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24, 1987 -- Marlena "dies" when her plane goes down.
