Members ChitHappens
YR Draws highest ratings since 2008. Wonderful job Carlivati and Valentini! http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/yr-draws-highest-household-rating-2008
Members edgeofnik
What do C&V have to do with Y&R hitting that high rating?

Members ChitHappens
Am I reading this correctly? 5.73 million viewers for YR? http://www.cbspressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/releases/view?id=38067
Members edgeofnik
Yes, you are! It's great to see the continuous upswing for ALL soaps.
Members SouthOfSoap
That's the way I read it too. And over 7m for TPIR2, 4.17m for B&B. Big week. I wonder if Y&R will crack 1m in the W18-49? That's what really counts for CBS, the rest is PR puff.
Members rhinohide
They are really so amazing. Thank you Craptini for saving the soap genre.
Members marceline
It's heartening to see what the threat of freezing to death does for daytime.
Members SouthOfSoap
ABC produce a press release for The Chew, zero mention of GH. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/02/06/the-chew-delivers-number-1-week-on-record-in-total-viewers-women-18-49-and-women-25-54/235202/ Seems like more people watch The Chew than The Taste? ETA: The Chew at 3.3m, The Taste at 3.6m - close!
Members rhinohide
I bet ABC is very pleased with that performance. And credit Cartini.
Members marceline
I think it's pretty clear that the big renaissance isn't soaps, it's daytime television as a whole. It makes me sad to think of how well AMC and OLTL (or ATWT and GL) might be performing now if they could've just hung on for a few more years. Members ChitHappens
Someone posted on Twitter that GH and Days remained flat but didn't have supporting numbers only that CBS and the Chew did really well. He seems to be in the know. M, I guess we will see if this is just the weather.
Members sungrey
I think it's a combination. The weather was a big factor, but it seems like more and more people are flocking to TV to support shows. Maybe they finally got the message they had to watch. (And like someone else said, it's too bad this upswing couldn't have benefited AMC, OLTL, ATWT and GL.)
Members Soapsuds
I have a feeling Y&R hit a 4.1 for the week and B&B a 3.0 for the week....GH has become rather blah thus the ratings being stable.... I actually watched Y&R all last week!!
