I think it's pretty clear that the big renaissance isn't soaps, it's daytime television as a whole. It makes me sad to think of how well AMC and OLTL (or ATWT and GL) might be performing now if they could've just hung on for a few more years.

I bet ABC is very pleased with that performance. And credit Cartini.

Someone posted on Twitter that GH and Days remained flat but didn't have supporting numbers only that CBS and the Chew did really well. He seems to be in the know.

M, I guess we will see if this is just the weather.

I think it's a combination. The weather was a big factor, but it seems like more and more people are flocking to TV to support shows. Maybe they finally got the message they had to watch. (And like someone else said, it's too bad this upswing couldn't have benefited AMC, OLTL, ATWT and GL.)

I have a feeling Y&R hit a 4.1 for the week and B&B a 3.0 for the week....GH has become rather blah thus the ratings being stable....

I actually watched Y&R all last week!!

I disagree. I believe one of the reasons we are seeing the uptick has to do with fewer options for people who enjoys soaps. Instead of the audience being spread across six or eight soaps, four choices results in consolidation. Additionally, CBS/ABC brought in new audiences with shows like TT and TC, which benefited their line-ups.
