If he had something to do other than the lame revisit with Liz which makes him look like a creep all over again I'd be more excited.

This makes me happy. Now if they would just fully go there with a AJ/Liz/Nik/Carly quad, id be very happy as i like all the potential pairings with them.

I do wonder if they have more planned than the Liz story for him though...

There's not much they can do with Nik. The Spencer family and the Cassadine family are on fumes, and they already have a sea of smarmy guys who look about ten years older than they actually are. At least they cut his hair.

He looks better than he has in about ten years with the haircut. Really good. It's just a pity that the minute Liz or A.J. turn up Nikolas turns back into the slimy creep he's been since - well, Courtney, at least.

Everyone hated that pairing with Liz - everyone. It was terrible and Nikolas's dogged pursuit then and now of his brother's true love was terrible for his character and demeaning for him and everyone else. He comes off like a pathetic stalker and a very lost, lonely man. I can't imagine why they'd revisit that, except it increasingly seems this is all RC knows these days. Fitting slots and holes with whatever is available and then relying on mining a history, any history, no matter how unpalatable, for very factory-processed binary stuff. Two white teens, two black teens, and then all this mess.

They could've played A.J., Liz and Carly and a fourth angle for months and months if not years, but A.J. and Carly have already fucked and the "quad" - because it's not a story now, it's just a program - is a turgid drone. Nikolas makes it worse. I'd rather see him with anyone else. It's all just such a waste.

Nik is a typical Carlivati leading man - greasy, smarmy, smug, misogynist, what have you. I think he just couldn't resist. If there ever was a story for AJ, I think it derailed when Roger Howarth came back. We're now getting a rushed version of what we probably would have gotten anyway, which is Nik being "real" and AJ being a "hypocrite," and Nik will probably continue to chase Liz, who will be torn, but not in a way that actually focuses on her or her history or her choices. Then if she and Nik do get together, some poorly acted bit player will likely show up as a woman from his past, and she will scheme as Liz looks sour and Nik leers. Meanwhile, AJ will be groveling to Carly, or taking hostages.
