Very sad news, I loved watching her in Archie reruns on Nick @ Nite when I was a kid. R.I.P. Ms. Stapleton

Edith and the cling peaches is one of the things I remember most from that show.

Thank you, Ms. Stapleton, for spending your star power on helping the fight for women's rights. In addition to being an iconic TV and Broadway actress, you were truly a class act.

I remember reading about a church group putting out pamphlets praising Edith for her faith. Considering what All in the Family stood for, that tells you how Stapleton managed to help the show reach across divides.

I was never a huge AITF fan but I enjoyed her on Scarecrow and Mrs. King. And she was the perfect partner for Carroll O'Connor.
